Japan's Militarism Blamed by KCNA Commentary

Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- In recent days Japan has become more zealous in sending troops overseas.

Shortly ago, Japan dispatched escort warships Onami and Kirisame to replace the warships of the Maritime "Self-Defense Force" in the Gulf of Aden and in the sea near the Mideast. It decided to extend the stay of the troops of the "Self-Defense Forces" in the south Sudan a year more.

This is a revelation of the dangerous policy of the Japanese reactionaries to realize their ambition for overseas expansion at any cost through regular advances of the SDF overseas.

Japan which took the first step for military advance overseas under the pretext of "peace-keeping and anti-terrorism" has persistently sent troops of the SDF overseas while talking about "proactive pacifism" and "contribution to world community".

Clear is the purpose of Japan in steadily expanding the sphere of the military operation of the SDF possessed of the second most powerful striking power next to the U.S. in the West.

It is to ignite a war with a new incident in any place at any time by using the troops of the SDF dispatched overseas as vanguard and a shock brigade for aggression.

Japan remains unchanged in its mode of existence.

The Japanese reactionaries are deceiving the world community, deliberately creating impression that they contribute to world peace and stability in order to realize their daily-increasing ambition for aggression, and mulling putting the advance of the SDF overseas on a legitimate and regular basis. However, a gimlet in a pouch is bound to protrude.

Fierce opposition and protests in Japan against the dispatch of the SDF to the Middle East are a typical example proving the falsity of the "ensuring security of the Japanese vessels" much touted by the heavyweights including the minister of Defence.

A French institute for international relations and strategic studies disclosed that Japan had improved the attack capability of the maritime and air SDF forces while not bothering to take military action in contravention of the Constitution under the pretext of "anti-piracy campaign".

The fact that the dispatch of the SDF to the Middle East is decided at a Cabinet meeting without the approval of the Diet and the guidelines of the authorities granting the right to use of armed force for "self-defense" to a warship sailing in the waters off the Middle East during "marine guard actions" in case of emergency give light to the course taken by Japan overheated with militaristic zeal.

The situation goes to prove that the present Japanese government's foreign policy is the one of aggression aiming at the restoration of the colonial rule system.

Militarist maniacs should clearly understand that with nothing can they quell the public sentiments in Japan nor stand rejection by the international community aspiring after peace and stability.

The second defeat awaits Japan. -0-
