KCNA Commentary Hits Political Charlatans for Defending Park Geun Hye More Dead Than Alive

Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- A pro-Park Geun Hye group within the "Saenuri Party" of south Korea is going on the rampage. They speak for traitor Park without reason, categorically rejecting the results of the mid-term investigation made public by the prosecution.
The investigation results branded Park as the main culprit. However, the pro-Park group described the results as the "ones reading the face of the public without any principle and belief" and claimed that "the investigation made the president a victim."
The pro-Park group of the "Saenuri Party" is making a counterattack, terming the anti-Park group's demand for the "president's" withdrawal from the party and its leadership's resignation "political corruption" and "baseless political offensive".
Such action as desperately defending her is a blatant challenge to the public mindset and a foolish one revealing itself that they are accomplices in the worst political scandal. This only arouses extreme antipathy.
It is the "Saenuri Party" that created the present worst chaos by conniving at and fostering the witch politics. It is again the pro-Park group that has grown corpulent, enjoying privileges thanks to the scandal-ridden politics.
The pro-Park group is busy painting her as a "victim of the undeserved punishment", covering up their own crimes and asking for "not harshly treating the president".
The "Saenuri Party's" desperate bid to shield Park is intended to give a shot in the arm of Park in an effort to stem the trend of the situation and prolong the remaining days of the ruling party.
However, this is nothing but the last-ditch attempt of the servants of Chongwadae's old woman who are ignorant of how things are going in the world.
The south Korean society is terribly stunned by the announcement of the results of investigation.
Park's involvement in the overall scandal has been confirmed by undeniable evidence and new scams are being brought to light one after another.
The prosecution warned that if the recorded conversation between Park and former assistant secretary of Chongwadae related to the monopolization of "administration" was opened to pubic just for ten seconds, candlelight would turn into torches. This proves that the crimes of Park are beyond human imagination.
It is by no means fortuitous that the south Korean people from all walks of life are condemning the scandal as "Park Geun Hye Gate," not "Choe Sun Sil Gate."
However, Ri Jong Hyon, representative of the "Saenuri Party", and other riffraff are silly enough to praise her as a "woman who has no self-interest and selfish desire" and the "president is trustworthy."
Such foolish action will only lead to their ruin.
It is not far off when the above-said party and Park will face a stern judgment. -0

What does Trump's victory mean for the DPRK , south Korea and the world -special article by Dr Dermot Hudson

Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN has no illusions about US imperialism

There are many conflicting views about the significance of the election of Donald Trump for the Korean peninsula . Trump represents the extreme reactionary right of US imperialism but has paradoxically during his election campaign called for the withdrawal of US troops from south Korea and even said he would talk directly with the DPRK supreme leader dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN, though even on this issue Trump was contradictory saying "Why not? What is wrong with talking?" but added "a meeting “over a hamburger” might be acceptable" . This kind of thing shows that Trump was not serious about opening meaningful high-level negotiations but in fact implicitly belittled  and insulted  the DPRK supreme leadership .
Trump no doubt realised that withdrawing US forces from south Korea would be popular with a lot of  ordinary Americans who cannot understand why on earth US troops are stationed in a country so far from the shores of the US and also fear the risk of conflict whether conventional or nuclear with the DPRK .There is also the question of the huge burden on the taxpayer Trump unlike his opponent Hilary Clinton is a populist politican used to making throwaway promises and "anti elite " posturing (though in reality he is a billionaire property monopolist) .
Of course Trump is not the first US politician to have promised the withdrawal of US forces from south Korea. Jimmy Carter actually promised the withdrawal of US troops from south Korea in the 1970s but as we know this never happened and indeed under Carter's presidency the US forces in south Korea approved the Kwangju massacare and were covertly involved in it. Of course the US military in south Korea and the south Korean puppets strongly opposed this move. Should Trump try to withdraw US troops in south Korea or even downsize the US military there he would face massive opposition from the US monopoly capitalist military industrial complex and from the south Korean puppet ruling class who are totally dependent on the US military to prop them up. There were siren voices within the US establishment and from the south Korean puppets warning Trump not to withdraw US troops from south Korea.
Sure enough Trump's rhetoric and promises soon evaporated once he was elected President.Shortly after being elected  Trump spoke to the discredited puppet boss lady Park Geun Hye and said " We will be steadfast and strong with respect to working with you" against the DPRK adding that the US would work with south Korea "until the end". This has an omnious ring about it .Of course there is the strong possiblity that Trump will ask south Korea (as he stated many times during his election campaign) to pay even more for the so-called "upkeep " expenses of the US bases in south Korea . The present expenses paid by south Korea are nudging $1billion dollars. Should Trump increase the amount of money that south Korea pays for the US troops  then it will lead to increased anti-Americanism in south Korea and protests against the presence of US troops in south Korea. The money that south Korea already pays the US for the bases in south Korea could obviously be better spent on education, healthcare and poverty alleviation.
Internationally Trump could weaken the anti-DPRK front . All those countries that were voting for US sponsored anti DPRK human rights resolutions will now either vote against or abstain as people in many countries particularly those in the third world percieve Trump to be a racist and fascist so many countries will be less likely to swallow US propaganda against the DPRK on human rights . In the UK and Europe  Trump will be percieved as another "nutty " , "stupid " and bellicose US leader
along with the late Ronald Reagan(the retired cowboy actor) and George Bush . Of course there is no accounting for the US dirty tricks machine and the ablity of the US to bribe countries into voting their way in the UN.
As indicated above it is likely that Trump will simply continue the anti-DPRK policies of all previous US presidents despite making 'anti establishment ' noises . Trump's party the US Republican  Party actually is even more hardline anti-DPRK than Obama and Hillary Clinton  basically calling for the destruction of the DPRK and its social system even going as far to slander the DPRK as "slave state". Trump who is politically inexperienced will be likely to follow the policy of his party on the DPRK rather than making any policy changes of his own.
The DPRK has no illusion about  the US and who occcupies the White House . Regardless of whether Trump , Clinton or Bernie Sanders , the key issue for the DPRK is US imperialism and the hostile policy of the US towards the DPRK. As the great leader President KIM IL SUNG said in
1969.
" All the policies of the United States of America originate from the aggressive nature of US imperialism and they can never change so long as the United States remains an imperialist power and does not give up her ambition for world domination . No matter who becomes US president , he only executes the colonial policy and expansionist policy of US imperialism faihfully as a spokesman for the interests of the US monopolies. Unless the state and social system undergoes a fundamental change, the policies of US imperialism can never change all of a sudden from aggressive to peaceful ones simply because the president has been replaced."
Of course this does not mean that the DPRK dogmatically rejects any negotiations with the the US . The US needs to stop pretending that the DPRK is not a nuclear power and it needs to completely
revoke its hostile anti-DPRK policy  as the Memorandum of the DPRK Foreign Ministry published on the 22nd of November stated " The U.S. should face up to the new strategic position of the DPRK and take actual measures to show that they are willing to scrap its anachronistic hostile policy and nuclear threat against the DPRK.
This, and only this will be the first base of resolving all the issues."

If Trump or any other US president was prepared to do this then the DPRK would enter into negotiations with the US and there could be the beginning of a new era in DPRK-US relations,
However the DPRK is taking no chances and not pinning hopes on a sudden improvement in DPRK-US relations , instead they are prepared to  counter the threat of war from the US. Since Trump's election  dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN has given field guidance to KPA Units including frontline units 7 times saying that "The confrontation with the enemy is the one of fire and, at the same time, a stand-off in idea and faith.. the soldiers of the defence detachment should be provided with lots of ideological pabulum, if they are prepared to be the strongest in mental power who do not abandon their revolutionary faith even though they may die, defenders of socialism standing guard over the first line of the class struggle and the stalwart fighters for national reunification,"
To conclude the DPRK is prepared for any eventuality that might arise from the Trump presidency. Whilst the world progressive people including many US citizens desire a change in US policy towards Korea this is unlikely to happen under Trump , however the rising strength of the DPRK thanks to the Songun policy could eventually force the US to finally revoke its discredited anti-DPRK policy which would have far-reaching results

DPRK-Cuban Relations -special article by Dr Dermot Hudson

Comrade Fidel Castro Ruz was the outstanding leader of the Cuban people and a prominent political activist who made distinguished contributions to accomplishing the cause of independence against imperialism, the cause of socialism and justice, as he honorably defended the sovereignty and dignity of the country, established the socialist system where the people became the genuine masters for the first time in the Western Hemisphere and devoted all his life to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people"
                                                      KIM JONG UN
The Democratic People's Republic of Korea set a three day mourning period when comrade Fidel Castro passed away. Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN himself not only sent a condolence message but visited the Cuban Embassy in person to pay respects. Other senior party and government officials visited the Cuban embassy to pay respects .
The closeness of the Korean and Cuban revolutions which is ignored often by so called progressives. Some like to dwell on the big geographical distance between the two countries and the differences in cultures and things like the fact the DPRK produces rice whereas Cuba produces sugar.Others have a mistaken perception as to what the Cuban revolution is about.
There is a deep relationship between the two revolutions and a friendship between the leaders of the two revolutions as significantly Che Guevara,Fidel Castro and Osvaldo Dorrictos have all visited the DPRK.

To this day the DPRK maintains the closest ties with Cuba. After the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea(WPK) in May  WPK  vice-Chairman Kim Yong Chol visited Cuba to brief Cuban leaders on the 7th Congress of the WPK. In June 2013 the chief of general staff of the Korean People's Army paid a visit to Cuba .
One reactionary American writer Joseph S Bermudez despite the maligant rubbish he turned out managed to notice some very close parallels between the Korean and Cuban revolutions.Firstly he noticed that both commandante Fidel Castro and the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG  were both 33 years old when their respective revolutions triumphed.Comrade KIM IL SUNG was probably the youngest leader in the socialist camp in 1945 and indeed so was Fidel Castro in 1959.Bermudez also noted that both revolutions had truimphed as a result of armed struggle rather than  strikes, petitions, demonstrations etc.
To make a much deeper and wider analysis than a reactionary like Bermudez, both revolutions had advanced independently as a reflection and an embodiment of the will of the popular masses in their own countries.
Both revolutions had to it out themselves without external support. The Korean revolutionaries under the leadership of comrade KIM IL SUNG formed the Anti Japanese Peoples Guerilla Army and captured weapons from the Japanese aggressors. The Cuban revolutionaries under Fidel Castro captured US made weapons from the reactionaries,Fidel later declared that the Cuban revolution had not been imported from somewhere.
Cuba was deeply inspired by the example of the Korean revolution and its armed struggle. In 1968 the World Cultural Congress in Havana adopted the document “The Anti Japanese Armed Struggle of the Korean People Organised and Waged Under the personal guidance of comrade Kim Il Sung”.Fidel was greatly inspired by the robust independence of the Korean revolution was moved him to say ‘The influence of the Korean revolution upon the peoples in Latin America and in other regions is beyond estimate”
Just as the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG  had to fight against factionalists and worshippers of great powers and also revisionists,Fidel also had to fight against dogmatists in the old style Cuban Communist party leadership which opposed the Cuban revolution.
Cuba established diplomatic relations with the DPRK on the 2nd of August 1960.The great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG said
Now Cuba has become an island of revolution and her armed people have thrown off the colonial yoke’
Comrade KIM IL SUNG recognised the importance of the Cuban revolution as it meant a breach had been made in the imperialist system in the Western hemisphere.Cuba had carried out a revolution and was building socialism in the so called backyard of the US.
A strong militant friendship developed between Cuba and the DPRK.The WPK spoke of Cuba as the Western outpost of the socialism whereas the DPRK was the far eastern outpost of socialism. So another parallel could be seen and of course Cuba was a beacon for Latin America whereas the DPRK was a beacon for Asia.
The militant revolutionary fraternal friendship sealed by deeds as well as words. In 1962 the US Imperialist provoked the Caribbean crisis, and in one of the more shabbier and shameful acts of his rule the revisionist Khruschov betrayed Cuba.Because of the threat of war was imminent many foreign embassies withdrew from Cuba but comrade KIM IL SUNG instructed the Embassy staff and their families to arm themselves and fight to the end. The DPRK actually sent a KPA General to  Cuba as its ambassador. DPRK students studying in Cuba also armed themselves ready to fight. The DPRK gave political and military assistance, while sending food and  tractors as well as a group of authoritative technicians.. The DPRK also publicly supported the 5 -point demands of Premier Fidel Castro which included the US withdrawal from Guantanamo. The DPRK press denounced Khrushov for his capitulationism and cowardice.
Later in 1986 the DPRK supplied Cuba with 100,000 automatic rifles at cost price , this was at a time when the Soviet revisionists in the grip of Gorbachov's perestroika were in the processs of ending their military assistance to Cuba.
Significantly one of the first Cuban leaders to visit the DPRK was the immortal Major Ernesto Che Guevara who visited the DPRK on the 2nd of December 1960.Che praised the DPRK as the socialist country he liked best(and indeed some vile reactionaries castigated Che for this and some friends of Cuba ignore this remark).Che was clearly influenced by the DPRK’s model of development because for the period he was in charge of the Cuban economy he tried to create a self reliant economy with heavy industry at is core, very similar to the DPRK.
Che’s death in Boliva was recognised as a big loss not only to the Cuban people but also the world revolutionary people and the Korean people. The great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG  wrote a special article for “Tricontinental” magazine on the 8th of October 1968 one year after the death of Major Guevara in battle. He said “The revolutionary activities of Che Guevara made a tremendous contribution to further consolidating the truimph of the Cuban revolution and stepping up the advancement of the Latin American revolution as a whole..........
The truimph of the Cuban revolution is the first victory of the Socialist revolution in Latin America and a continuination of the Great October revolution in Latin America....

Che Guevara is not with us now.But the blood he shed will never be wasted. His name and everlasting revolutionary exploits he performed will go down in the history of the liberation struggle of mankind and his lofty revolutionary spirit will be immortal. There will appear thousands, tens of thousands of Che Guevaras on the scene of decisive battle. In this work comrade Kim Il Sung said that the dictatorship of the proletariat should become a worldwide system.
The DPRK always marks October 8th the day Che died..Also earlier this year on the 17th June a meeting was held in Pyongyang to mark the 80th anniversary of the birth of Che Guevara.KCNA said that Che Guevara was “an indomitable revolutionary fighter who dedicated his all to the freedom and liberation of the oppressed people under the uplifted banner of anti imperialist, anti US struggle”.The DPRK produces posters and stamps of Che.
As well the DPRK honouring and revering Cuban revolutionary leaders, the Cuban leadership holds the DPRK revolutionary leaders in high esteem.
Comrade Fidel Castro on his 1986 visit to the DPRK praised the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung as the ‘wise guide of the Korean revolution’,years earlier Fidel said of comrade Kim Il Sung
“Comrade Kim Il Sung is one of the most distinguished, outstanding and heroic socialist leaders of the present world. His history is one of the most beautiful histories of a revolutionary serving the cause of socialism”  Recently in May comrade Raul Castro Ruz  said "Kim Jong Un is identical to
Kim Il Sung, the founder of the WPK, and his writing style clearly proves that he is full of wisdom and enthusiasm."

The DPRK-Cuba relationship is sealed by ties of blood. As long as Cuba remains on the road of socialism and militant anti-imperialism  the strong friendship between Cuba and the DPRK developed by the great leader comade KIM IL SUNG and comrade Fidel Castro Ruz will be invincible , unbreakable and eternal.

KCNA Commentary Advises U.S. to Think with Reason

Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- There are politicians in the U.S. who have still an unrealistic way of thinking about the DPRK.
Antony Blinken, U.S. deputy secretary of State, claimed that "north Korea cannot be recognized as a nuclear weapons state and its access to nukes should not be allowed," negating the assertion made by the director of National Intelligence of the U.S. that the denuclearization of Korea is a failure.
In this regard an expert on Korean affairs in an article contributed to NK News said that the man styling himself a politician is still claiming Pyongyang's denuclearization to be the goal of the U.S. because of little experience in the Northeast Asian issue, adding that Blinken seems to live in the juvenile world.
This is jeering at the anachronistic and trite way of thinking of the man who has no elementary ability to face up to the reality.
It is long since the theory of "DPRK's possible dismantlement of its nukes" touted by the U.S. and some other countries went bust due to the world's recognition of the changed strategic position of the DPRK.
The U.S. and many other Western media which had taken a hostile approach towards the DPRK are giving wide publicity to the public demands for the earliest possible drop of the bankrupt hostile policy towards the DPRK, asserting that it is not necessary to expect north Korea to dismantle its nukes.
Recently Michael Hayden, former director of CIA, in an article contributed to the U.S. paper "The Hill" confessed to the fact about the denuclearization of Korea being an impossible goal was the view already unofficially shared among the U.S. intelligence authorities a decade ago. This created big sensation.
All these facts objectively prove that the U.S. finds itself in such tight corner that it has no choice but to change its strategic option.
It is great irony that Blinken is still sticking to the unrealistic way of thinking against this backdrop.
The completely failed policy towards the DPRK being a stark fact, it is not only foolish but an extremely dangerous option to persistently resort to the completely failed strategy.
The U.S. should not persist in something impossible.
The successive U.S. administrations from Truman to Obama have squandered funds running into astronomical figures for pursuing their policy to stifle the DPRK for several decades. The U.S. needs to seriously reflect on what it gained from such policy.
The pig-headed stand of persistently denying the strategic position of the full-fledged nuclear power in the East would only result in impairing the position of the superpower tight-cornered over the Korean issue.
Washington would be well advised to face up to the reality.
It can take a wise option only when it proceeds from a realistic way of thinking. -0

As everyone knows the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has made an amazing recovery from the severed flood damage that occurred. The DPRK recently celebrated Mother's Day in a happy and joyous manner. However the putrid rubbish that is the south Korean puppet regime chose to slander this . The south Korean puppet Unification Ministry joined in this unseemly and most maligant clamour.
Delegations of our organisations visiting the DPRK in October 2015, April 2016 and  September 2016  we saw the true reality of the DPRK for ourselves. We saw a a country free from unemployment , poverty and homelessness, a country where everyone was working together  harmoniously. Indeed no amount of subterfuge and dirty tricks by the south Korean puppets can undermine the advantageous , people centred socialist system of the DPRK .
We are convinced that the DPRK will march onto final victory whereas the south Korean puppet regime of Park Geun Hye is doomed to collapse.

DPRK.
It is also an effort by the doomed Park Geun Hye fascist puppet regime to distract attention from their own deep internal crisis .Every day the Park regime is rocked by mass protests.

KCNA Commentary Warns Japan of Its Revival of Militarism

Pyongyang, November 28 (KCNA) -- Japan decided to give a task for going into urgent action under the "security legislation" to the unit of the Ground "Self-Defense Force" to be dispatched to South Sudan at the ministerial meeting on Nov. 15. According to the "urgent action," it will start its operation from December 12.
This is a part of the reckless moves of the Japanese reactionaries to revive militarism escalating under the signboard of "peace-keeping activities."
Now the Japanese authorities claim that the new task is to "ensure peace and security in the region and it is a new step in the history of Self-Defense Forces (SDF) for international peace-keeping cooperation."
This is a serious mockery of the international community.
Explicitly speaking, Japan has no qualifications to talk about world peace and security.
Japan is the war criminal state which imposed immeasurable misfortune and pain upon mankind in the first half of the last century and caused disastrous consequences to ensuring world peace and security.
Japan is the only country which has not yet sincerely admitted its crimes but evaded its obligation to make reparation to the victims.
Furthermore, Japan is going reckless obsessed with the daydream for becoming "the leader of East" by enforcing a law on war.
Japan expanded the sphere of action of the SDF which had been limited to surrounding areas of Japan to worldwide and made it possible to conduct military actions anywhere under the pretext of military support for the U.S. and other allies by amending the "Japan-U.S. Defence Cooperation Guidelines" and adopting the "security legislation".
The "law on the readjustment of peace and security legislation," one of the main contents of the "security legislation", is paving the way for SDF to join in a war ignited by the U.S. forces and other allied forces anywhere in the world.
That is why the "security legislation" is inviting strong opposition at home and abroad.
The Japanese reactionaries advertise that the "security legislation" is a peace law, but the Japanese people branded it as a law of war and oppose any action pursuant to it.
According to a recent opinion poll conducted by Kyodo News, most of the respondents said "no" to the task for "urgent action" in South Sudan.
Meanwhile, the participants in the rally held in Misawa City, Aomori Prefecture, strongly protested against the dispatch of forces to dangerous strife-torn areas abroad, saying that it is to make the government acquire concessions through war.
This reflects the instable mindset of the Japanese people that Japan would be embroiled in a war again through the revision of the constitution and overseas dispatch of the SDF being pushed forward by the Abe ruling quarters.
The international community neither asks nor wants Japan, which is reviving as an extremely dangerous aggression force and war force, to make contributions to world peace.
The new task for urgent action given to the Ground "Self-Defense Force" is a "new step" for war, not "international peace", revealing the militarist picture of Japan in the reckless moves once again.
The world people should heighten vigilance against Japan's bid to revive militarism, clearly understanding its danger. -0-

Kim Jong Un Guides Skiing Training of Mountain Infantry Battalion under KPA Unit 1045

Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA)
Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, guided the skiing training of the mountain infantry battalion under KPA Unit 1045.     After hearing a report on the training plan, he issued an order to start the training.
The moment a training officer shouted a command, soldiers appeared on the top of a mountain all of a sudden and skied down a steep slope, flying the colours of the supreme commander and the national flag of the Republic.
Watching the soldiers skiing down the slope like the wind while admirably conducting various difficult combat actions, he highly praised them for their successful training.
He underscored the need to steadily improve the forms and methods of mountain infantry training in quality as required by modern warfare and the features of offensive and defensive operation theatres and maximize the demand for training under the simulated conditions of an actual battle so as to decisively improve the marksmanship of the soldiers and decisively bolster up their capabilities to overcome mountains, speed up the march on them, carry out assault and maneuver in the field.
Saying that the mountain infantry soldiers must strike the enemy troops without giving them a chance to recover their senses by crossing mountains in the theater of battle in emergency, he called on the commanding officers to organize combat drills under the simulated conditions of a real battle by taking advantage of the most rugged terrains and thus train them to be brave and agile fighters.
He highly praised them for their successful training and had a photo session with them.
He set forth tasks facing the mountain infantry units, noting that they have important combat missions to perform as the country has steep mountain ridges and a lot of snow.
Accompanying him was Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., the WPK. -0-        (2016.11.26)

Brief History of Fidel Castro Ruz

He graduated from a secondary school at Santiago de Cuba City and was admitted to Havana University in 1945. And he was called to the bar after graduation of the university.
He took part in the struggle against violence and corruption of the dictatorial regime at home and abroad from 1947 to 1952.
He, together with 165 young men and women students who were armed with the idea against dictatorship, attacked Moncada Barracks, a point of military importance for the Batista dictatorial regime in Santiago de Cuba City, kindling the flames of armed struggle.
He was arrested by enemy with more than 100 members who took part in the armed struggle as they failed in the first armed uprising and served prison term on Pinos Island of Cuba (Juventud Island at present).
After his release in May 1955, he organized the "July 26 movement". He went to Mexico as an exile together with his comrades-in-arms in July 1955 and prepared for guerrilla struggle.
He landed in Oriente Province of Cuba by Granma ship with 82 armed fellows from Mexico in December 1956 and staged an armed struggle with Mt. Sierra Maestra as a base.
He finally overturned the dictatorial regime of Batista in January 1959 and achieved the victory of the Cuban revolution.
He was appointed as the prime minister of the revolutionary government in Feb. 1959 and had worked as the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba from Oct. 1965.
He was elected and worked as first secretary of the C.C., Communist Party of Cuba from the First Congress to the Fifth Congress of the Party.
He was elected to be president of the Council of State and president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba several times at the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba.
He resigned from his post as president of the Council of State and president of the Council of Ministers at the First Session of the 7th National Assembly of People's Power in Feb. 2008 and from his post as first secretary of the CPC Central Committee at the Sixth Party Congress in April 2011 for his health condition and began writing books.
Fidel Castro Ruz visited the DPRK in March 1986. He met with President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and made great efforts to deepen the militant friendship and friendly and cooperative relations between the peoples of the two countries fighting in the outpost of anti-imperialist, anti-U.S. struggle.
He, a close friend and old revolutionary comrade-in-arms of the Korean people, was awarded several orders of the DPRK including the title of DPRK Hero.
He passed away to our sorrow at 10:29 on Nov. 25, 2016.
His feats for the victorious advance in the cause of anti-imperialist independence and socialism and the development of the DPRK-Cuba friendly relations will remain forever. -0

The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK),the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE),the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the UK Preparatory Committee For the 2017 Gathering to Praise the Great Persons Born of Mt Paektu issued a statement support of the statement of the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) concerning the recent agreement on 'protecting military intelligence' between south Korea and Japan:
As the DPRK Foreign Ministry points out the agreement between south Korea and Japan is one that only increases the danger of conflict on the Korean peninsula . It is dragging another unwanted interloper into the Korean peninsula namely Japanese militarism.
This agreement will help Japan realise its imperialistic and expansionist ambitions and contribute to Japan's emergence as a military giant.
Japan should not prop up the discredited south Korean puppet regime.
This south Korea-Japan agreement is a threat to world peace and should be vigorously rejected by the world peace-loving people.

Disarmament and Peace Institute Researcher Derides Park Geun Hye as Rabid Dog

Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- Cha Yong Mi, researcher of the Disarmament and Peace Institute of the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK on Friday issued a commentary titled "Those who shield moribund rabid dog are bound to be beaten".
Park Geun Hye who monopolized "state affairs" as "dictated" by shaman made the south Koreans feel ashamed of their own "country" and now declared a "war" against them, shocking the world.
Park who promised to do her best for the settlement of the scandal case and to respond to investigation in teary voice at the "meeting for making apology to the people" denied everything she said while yet words are still from her mouth. This has touched off public criticism that Park denied resignation and investigation but declared a "war against the people".
Muddy spring will have muddy streams. Just as this saying goes, the traitor Park fully revealed her ignorance and self-complacency even abroad.
Park is stepping up the deployment of THAAD of the U.S. despite unanimous opposition at home and abroad in a bid to find a way-out by currying favor with her master. In the meantime, she concluded the agreement on protecting military intelligence with Japan, endangering the regional peace and security.
It is as clear as noonday that she can not evade miserable end no matter how persistently she goes as she is already lost to elementary sense of discerning where she stands, far from facing up to the trend of the times.
Lots of countries which had dealings with the traitor who is no more than the puppet of the shaman, being unaware of her true nature, are hardly repressing disillusion with her.
Those who shield moribund rabid dog are bound to be beaten and those who deal with the Park group are bound to face shame and disgrace. -0-

Looking round the historic relics with keen interest, he said that the large combined unit grew to be a powerful elite unit fully prepared for both offensive and defence in modern warfare under the wise leadership and meticulous care of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
He highly appreciated the feats performed by the service personnel of the unit, saying that the unit has performed praiseworthy feats in the defence of the country and socialist construction in the past period and made positive contributions to giving fullest play to the fighting spirit and militant traits of the KPA after being rapidly dispatched to the front for recovering from the flood damage in the northern part of the country, in particular.
Praising the unit for effectively conducting the education of its service personnel through the room for the education in the revolutionary history and the room devoted to the history of the unit after successfully arranging them, he underscored the need to intensify the education for helping them deeply grasp the undying feats of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the glorious history and tradition of the unit.
Going round the soldiers' hall, he instructed the commanding officers of the unit to direct sustained big efforts to intensifying the five-point education set forth by the Party to successfully train the service personnel as indomitable fighters who do not abandon their revolutionary faith though they may die on the road of defending the socialist country.
After hearing a report on the defense operation plan of the unit from its commander at the military study room, he examined the documents on combat and went round various places including operation lecture room to learn in detail about the performance of duties by the units under the large combined unit and their trainings and regular combat preparedness.

Letter on south Korea that the Morning Star did not publish

It was great to see the Morning Star article "A cult leader and a dictator's daughter'(Morning Star  November 17th) which exposed the corrupt nature of the Park Geun Hye regime in south Korea.
However reading it I found it disappointing that it failed to call a spade a spade and a puppet a puppet !
The south Korean puppet entity was a creation of the US who occupied south Korea in 1945 and to this day  south Korea is a puppet of the US. Operational Command of the south Korean armed forces is in the hands of the US . Over 30,000 US troops occupy south Korea and commit all sorts of crimes.
It is the US who decide who is president of south Korea. If the US decides that Park is a liability and must be go , then this is what will happen.Park's father was assassinated by his own spy chief on US orders because he had become a liability to them
.The article is shy to call south Korea  fascist. A regime that dissolves a political party with elected representatives and jails trade union leaders is a fascist regime end of story. Anti-fascists should be campaigning against south Korea.
If the US decide to keep Park in power we will probably see martial law in south Korea plus massive anti-DPRK provocations.
The article talks about the Left in south Korea but omits to mention the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front , the true voice of the south Korean revolution which was founded in 1969 as the Revolutionary Party for Reunification.

THE WOMAN IN KOREA:By David Muñoz, UK KFA Organisation Secretary.

THE WOMAN IN KOREA:
By David Muñoz, UK KFA Organisation Secretary.

We all know all the inequalities that women suffer in the capitalist world, Inferiority of wages, impediment to reaching important positions, gender violence, dismissals for becoming pregnant etc.
Equality between men and women was one of the most important objetives in the history of the communist movement.
The USSR being the first country in history to publish laws favoring women.
Thanks to socialism and although the equality was not complete, women obtained a great improvement of the rights and recognition unlike in any capitalist country of the world.
Some examples were the DDR or East Germany where women were valued and appreciated, where huge steps were taken in equality, where the maternity leave was one year with all expenses covered, where the woman could have days off if their children were sick, where there was full equality in wages and great political participation.
The women of the West capitalist Germany demanded that the laws of the women of the DDR were applied in West Germany. A dream that ended with the fall of the Berlin wall.
Another example is the Socialist Afghanistan, where women could go out wearing whatever they want and studied without any problem, something completely different from today's Afghanistan where women have no rights.
But doubtless one of the best examples is in the DPRK, the only state in the world that continues building socialism under the original Juche Idea and maintaining its sovereignty and construction thanks to the Songun politics.
The history of gender equality in Korea goes back to the colonial era dominated by Japanese imperialism, before the revolution, the situation of women was a big issue in the society. Their life expectancy was not more than 38 years as a result of the hard conditions of life under colonialism, the great majority were exploited, they didnt had rights and were treated with inferiority and marginalized in the society, the majority did didn´t know to read or write. And worst of all, a large number of Koreans, the majority under the age of 20 were members of the so-called "Women of Comfort" of the Japanese imperialist forces, forced to prostitute themselves and become sex slaves of soldiers.
During the revolution and the struggle against imperialism led by President Kim Il Sung, the Korean Communists gave huge importance to the rights of women, creating the first female organization in Korea, The Anti-Japanese Women Association, this organization called women to fight for their independence and for the revolutionary struggle and they joined the Korean People's Army to fight for the liberation of the country. Comrade Kim Jong Suk is considered the heroine of the Korean female movement and heroine of the DPRK.
After the triumph of the anti-imperialist revolution in August 1945, on November 18 of the same year, the Democratic Women Union of Korea, the largest organization for the rights of women till the present day, was organized. Their objectives were the ideological education, the fight against sexism and achieve the gender equality.
The 30 of July of 1946 the first law of gender equality was created in all Korean peninsula. This law stipulated that the Korean woman has the same rights as men in all spheres of social life, the right to choose, the divorce, to be elected, to work, to study, to free marriage, to be a mother ... etc and Especially to eradicate all forms of vices that suppressed the feminine personality, to respect their human rights and to destroy all the laws against the equality of gender.
Thanks to this law, women achieved recognition and rights for the first time. And during the first democratic elections held in November 1946 in the People's Korea, women were able to vote and be voted for, they won the 13.1% of deputies to the local power, this figure was quite high for the time.
Although much remains to be improved, women currently occupy 35% of the People's Supreme Assembly of the DPRK. In South Korea there were only 16% of women in parliament.
At present equality between men and women in the DPRK has improved greatly and continues to improve day by day.
The woman is one of the main pillars of Korean socialism, without them the country could not have been built.
The rights of women are drafted in article 77 of the DPRK's constitution, which said: "Women are accorded an equal social status and rights with men. The State shall afford special protection to mothers and children by providing maternity leave, reduced working hours for mothers with many children, a wide network of maternity hospitals, nurseries and kindergardens, and other measures. The State shall provide all conditions for women to play a full role in society".
Thanks to these centers in the DPRK, where they can leave the children with all the care they need while the woman is at work. It has been greatly encouraged by eliminating the stress of child care, especially in nurseries and kindergardens as these centers are completely free of charge and the State takes care of your children while you can´t, this completely eliminates the stress and preoccupations about getting money to keep them or the fear of losing the job and worrying that they can´t keep going.
The orphans in the DPRK have the same future as other children. The state takes care of them, giving them orphanages, children's studies, secondary and university free of charge having a great future and prosperity unlike the capitalist countries where the future of your son depends on your economic resources and the one of the orphans on if they are adopted by a resourceful family.
This equality can also be seen in different laws of the country. As for example in The Socialist Labour Law of the DPRK, which says in chapter III, article 31: "The state assures women of all the conditions so that they can actively incorporate social work. As state agencies, companies and social-cooperative organizations must build nurseries, kindergardens, pediatrics houses and public service establishments and organize work brigades at home or domestic cooperatives so that those not incorporated into the labor center can work According to their wishes "
Article 37 of Chapter IV, says: "Workers receive equal pay for equal work regardless of sex, age and nationality."
As the constitution says, women not only have the same rights and position as men, but the State gives them help to make their life easier.
These benefits start from the time of pregnancy, the state is responsible for the salary and necessary provisions during the lactation period, the woman continues to receive her salary in an integrated way while she is at home. The lactation period can be extended to 150 days, during this period the State also takes care of all the expenses that the newborn needs, such as food. If a woman has more than 3 children under the age of 13, her workday is reduced while retaining her original salary.
The pregnant woman must register in the Maternity House, where they receive free medical assistance and all the help they may need, in addition to controlling pregnancy and possible problems every center where women work should have labor protection and hygiene facilities and consulting rooms.
Also with the aim of protecting the pregnancy of the woman and not running any danger, the regulations of the work in the DPRK prohibit that pregnant women and women in periods of lactation carry out work of traction, transport of heavy loads ... Works that take place in vibrant or cold environments. They also can not work at night time.
When the days of breastfeeding ends, women return to work, the state provides them free of charge the thousands of nurseries and kindergartens that are all over the country.
According to official data, in 1949 there were only 12 nurseries and 116 kindergartens. Years later in 1961 there were 7600 nurseries and 45,000 kindergartens.
The unemployment rate in the DPRK is 0% for men and women, there is no discrimination in any job for women to hold important positions.
When the revolution began the data was not good, only the 20% of the work force were women. Over the years the situation improved, between 1956 and 1964, the female labour rate increased to 49% of the population reaching the current labour rate.
According to the 1980 country data, women held 56% of agricultural work, 45% of the industrial sector, 20% in mining, 30% in the forestry sector, 15% in heavy industry, and 70% in light industry. Among professionals and technicians, women represented only 14.6% in 1963. However, in 1989, they increased to the 37% of the total. Professional and technical women increased 10.6 times their number between 1963 and 1989 compared to the 2.5 men.
The retirement age in the DPRK for women is at age 60 and it can be at 50 in the hardest jobs. When they retire, they receive a pension and all the help they may need for free.
In Korea, wages are higher in jobs that require more physical effort like in heavy industry and mining, and smaller wages in jobs that require mental effort.
In the capitalist society it is always "badly seen" in many senses that women play some sports and in many cases even ridiculize them. In the DPRK, however, women are encouraged to do sport by winning multitudes of awards every year around the world. The sub-17 Women's team of the DPRK won the FIFA U-17 World Championship on 26 October this year.
All these developments where women have achieved their equality and can achieve the same objetives as men have been thanks to socialist education. There is no school in the DPRK that separates students by sex, as is the case of capitalist countries.
The Day of Working Women and Mother's Day are national holidays in the DPRK, where women from all over the country celebrate their successes carried out by socialism in the struggle for equality, with numerous acts, concerts and Actions of women.
To this day, women in the DPRK do not suppose an inferior being or a simple object as it happened in colonial korea or as it continues to happen in the capitalist countries or in South Korea where many women are forced to abort for fear of losing their jobs and in many cases forced to prostitution to obtain resources to give their children a future.
In the DPRK the childrens walk alone on the street without the company of an adult, playing, smiling or just returning home after the school, the parents dont need to be worried about their security. Something completly different in South Korea or the rest of the capitalist countries. South Korea is the country with the highest rate of sexual abuse of minors and women ahead of other countries like Great Britain, the United States, Germany or Japan. There were about 8.6 cases of sexual assault of minors per 100,000 inhabitants in 2008. Considering that the population under 19 in South Korea is high, it is a worrying fact.
Of course these types of aggressions are denounced and persecuted. Cases that are not reported are hardly known and do not appear in criminological statistics. So it is logical to think that the rates of sexual assault in South Korea are even higher. In addition, the sexist and cultural pre-revolutionary mentality still exists today in South Korea, women play sometimes significantly submissive roles in relation to men. Something socially inherited from the old confucianist tradition and mentality. This mentality makes many of these cases not reported and therefore neither pursued nor known. Some of the arrested criminals never stay more than 2 years in prision.
Sex slaves increased in South Korea since US occupation and the establishment of his puppet regime. In many cases they are aged women living below the poverty.
According to some researchers, the South Korean government considered it inevitable to use their wifes to satisfy the whims of thousands of US troops deployed in the country. In addition, the benefits of prostitution were of particular importance for a submerged state in poverty: South Korean sexual services and associated trade accounted for almost 25% of South Korea's total gross national product in the 1960s.
In 1962, the South Korean government declared the settlements adjacent to the US military bases. "Special tourism areas" where prostitution was a legal activity. In the same year, only about 20,000 women were officially hired as sex workers.
Currently in the sex sector in South Korea, according to the Feminist Association in South Korea, more than one million people work. According to these estimates, one in every 25 South Koreans is engaged in prostitution. According to other statistics, one in five women aged 15 to 29 at least for a time in her life worked as a prostitute.
In the DPRK is no prostitution or those sexual abuse crimes to minors, the DPRK keep the traditional culture and growing up with the socialist mentality to create de equality between women and men and eliminate this old mentality of the Korean Culture.
As I said before the state provides everything necessary for women so that their children can grow up and have a secure future and free education.
One of the most important factors in socialist Korea with the ideological and cultural factor, is the creativity, where the state helps since the people are very young to be creative and help them to encourage it for each student, providing them with high quality social centres and activities to develop what they prefer and completely free of charge. Something affordable to only a small percentage in the capitalist society.
On November 17 and 18, the 7th Congress of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea was held, the change of name was approved by Socialist Women's Union of Korea.
