Reflections on Ireland and Songun

Some reflections on Songun after visiting Ireland. During my visit to Ireland I went into the GPO Easter Uprising Museum and learnt of the history of the 1916 Easter Uprising .
The Easter Uprising began on the 24th of April 1916 when Irish patriots who were organised in the Irish Volunteers and Irish Citizen Army.It aimed to secure Irish independence and declared an independent Irish republic. The Irish rebels showed great courage and fortitude but were defeated after a few days.
They were defeated not through  lack of determination but  due to the fact that they were outnumbered ten to one by the British imperialists and also because the British imperialists brought in heavy guns and even a warship. As the lines of the song goes "Britannia's huns with their long range guns sailed in throught the foggy dew"This shows that in order to win victory in the revolution one should prepare and build up strong revolutionary armed forces capable of destroying the enemy at the decisive moment.
As the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL said "A country or a nation can emerge victorious in the revolution anddefend the revolution, and carve out its destiny independentlyonly when it has its own powerful revolutionary armed forces.
It is the force of arms on which hinge the victory of therevolutionary cause, independence and sovereignty, and theprosperity of a country or a nation"

At every stage of the Korean revolution  the supreme leadership has always paid attention to the building up of the revolutionary armed forces .The DPRK now has its own nuclear deterrent and long range missiles capable of striking the US.
