From the Korean Associations for Friendship with Europe Countries of the DPRK

Dear friends,

Warm greetings from Pyongyang!

As already reported, the “defectors from the north” who betrayed their family and motherland committed hostile acts of scattering leaflets to the north, insulting our supreme dignity with south Korean connivance.

The hostile acts against the DPRK, committed taking advantage of the irresponsible stance and connivance of south Korean authorities, dared to hurt the dignity of our supreme leadership and mock the sacred mental core of all our people. This was a sign of hostility to all our people.

To leave the defectors as they are to commit the leaflet scattering is a clear proof that the south Korean authorities have moved overtly and covertly to totally scrap the April 27 Panmunjom Declaration and the north-south agreement in the military field.

It clearly shows that south Korean authorities have neither will nor determination to remain faithful to and implement the north-south agreements.

The south Korean authorities can never escape from the responsibility for the escalated tension between the north and the south.

The reality shows us that south Korean authorities, though claiming the normalization of north-south relations, actually have not shaken themselves free from perceptions of confrontational era, and their hostile policy against fellow countrymen is the fundamental reason incurring the current crisis.

A goodwill can never be merged with hostility and harmony and confrontation are incompatible.

Accordingly, the relevant field of our side completely cut off and shut down the liaison line between the north and the south, as a first step of completely shutting down all contact means with south Korea and getting rid of unnecessary things.

Korean people regard the slandering our supreme leadership and social system as first and foremost hostile acts, and will never tolerate them.
