On the 24th of April at 16.30 hours the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Korean Friendship Association UK held an online seminar on the 89th anniversary of the foundation of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army the forerunner of the Korean People’s Army . Participating were members of the BGSJI and KFA UK from London , Staffordshire and the West of England . The representative of KFA FInland participated as an observer .
Dr Dermot Hudson Chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche and Chairman of KFA UK said that ‘ The Korean People's Army of today has its origins in the Anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army( which later became the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army) which was founded on the 25th of April 1932 , we Juche Idea and Songun idea followers salute the anniversary of its foundation . Today the KPA is defending the independence of the DPRK and also peace and security in the Asia-Pacific region….
... The KPA also inherited the proletarian internationalist traditions of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army . The KPRA had defended the Soviet Union from attacks by the aggressive Japanese imperialists in the 1930s .After liberation in the 1940s President KIM IL SUNG sent some of the best troops of the KPRA to fight with the Chinese People’s Liberation Army . The KPA actively assisted Cuba , Vietnam , Egypt , Angola and other countries . In Vietnam, KPA air force pilots fought alongside the Vietnamese people , the KPA also sent tunnelling and engineering experts to Vietnam . In Egypt the KPA Air Force fought in the 1973 Middle East War against the Israeli aggressors….
... Today the destiny of world socialism and peace depends on the rifles of the Korean People's Army headed by respected supreme commander Marshal KIM JONG UN.
The representative of KFA UK West of England said that the Korean People’s Army is an army of the people with its origins as a guerrilla army. It is very important to understand the difference between the Korean People’s Army and the armies of capitalist and imperialist countries . The Korean People’s Army helps the people and takes part in construction work.
