Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- Today the DPRK people are speeding up the building of a socialist power in the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance hardened by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
One day in March Juche 101 (2012), Kim Jong Un stressed in his talk with senior officials of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) that all the people should struggle with high resolution and revolutionary will to surely build a socialist power by their own efforts.
Later, he in his New Year addresses and other works provided the vital guidelines for developing the country's economy under the banner of self-reliance.
At the 3rd Plenary Meeting of the 7th WPK Central Committee in April 2018, he set forth a new strategic line of concentrating all efforts of the entire Party and the whole country on the socialist economic construction. Saying that the core and main principle of the new revolutionary line of the Party is self-reliance, he stressed the need to maintain indomitable perseverance in the spirit of self-reliance as ever and open up the avenue for prosperity and bring earlier the rosy future.
In the course of keeping up the self-reliance as the lifeline of self-respect and self-development and a powerful engine for development, it was further consolidated as the national customs of Juche Korea and the one and only fighting spirit of the Korean revolution.
The 8th WPK Congress in January last clarified that self-reliance and self-sufficiency are the main seed and theme of the new five-year plan for national economic development. -0-
