28th of September Juche 110 (2021)

The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK) , the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, the UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA )  ,and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification in Korea (BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement in support of the press statement issued by comrade Kim Yo Jong , vice department director of the Central Committee (CC ) of the Workers Party of Korea (WPK )  on Saturday 25th of September ;

 In her statement comrade Kim Yo Jong again clarifies the willingness of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK ) to enter into dialogue and negotiations with south Korea , even to hold a 6th inter -Korean summit and sign an end of war declaration .

  However in order for this to happen , south Korea must have the correct attitude , an attitude conducive to dialogue not to confrontation .  The big problem and obastcle to improved inter-Korean relations  is the double dealing stance of the south Korean authorities   . Comrade Kim Yo Jong rightly points out that 'The U.S. and south Korean-style double standards towards the DPRK by which the DPRK's actions of self-defensive dimension to cope with the military circumstances and possible military threats existing on the Korean peninsula are dismissed as threatening "provocations" and their arms buildup are described as the "securing of a deterrent to north Korea" are illogical and childish, and are a blunt disregard of and challenge to the sovereignty of the DPRK."

The stand of the DPRK towards inter-Korean dialogue as manifested by the press statement of comrade Kim Yo Jong is a firm but fair one , a flexible but just one . It is a stand of being willing to enter into dialogue but at the same time refusing to take any nonsense from the south Korean authorities .

We support the correct stand of the DPRK and call for south Korea to end its double dealing stance.
