39 years ago, the United Nations General Assembly at its Emergency Special Session decided to commemorate June 4 of each year as the “International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression” in remembrance of the Palestinian and Lebanese children cruelly killed by Israeli aggression.
The survived children have already grown up and yet the Israel’s slaughtering of children is occurring unabated even today.
Last May, the barbaric air strikes and bombardment of Israel brought another bloodshed tragedy in the land of Palestine, killing 66 children and injuring over 560 persons in the Gaza Strip alone.
It is no exaggeration to say that the whole Gaza Strip has turned into a huge human slaughterhouse and a place of massacring children.
Israel’s horrific crime of killing the bud-like children, yet to be bloomed, is a severe challenge to the future of humankind and a crime against the humanity.
The world press is strongly condemning Israel for continuing massacre of children, pointing at Israel as a culprit of expulsion of Palestinians, illegal settlement expansion and sowing the seeds of hatred by suppressing their peaceful praying ceremony.
Nevertheless, soon after the end of the bombardment, Netanyahu and the Israeli authorities are trying to conceal their crime of killing even the children, asserting that Israel is the sole democratic country in the Middle East in which all citizens including Arabs and Jews have equal footings regardless of their birth.
Engrossed in extreme misanthropic spirit and ambition for territorial expansion, Israel brutally killed even the children – the future of the country and nation – the crime of which can never be justified on any account.
The UN Charter also solemnly specifies in the first paragraph of its preamble “to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, which twice in our lifetime has brought untold sorrow to mankind”.
The international society should no longer tolerate Israel’s reckless state-sponsored terrorism and act of obliterating other nations.
