The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI) , UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA ) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP)issued the following joint statement  supporting the press statement of the DPRK Foreign Minister  comrade Ri Son Gwon;

  Today comrade Ri Son Gwon  , the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, issued a press statement which welcomed the earlier statement made by comrade Kim Yo Jong  about the issue of talks with the US , which clarified the stand of the DPRK and refuted any speculation or guess work .

 Comrade Ri Song Gwon further pointed out that 'We are not considering even the possibility of any contact with the U.S., let alone having it, which would get us nowhere, only taking up precious time'. These words set the record straight about the issue of talks between the DPRK and US .

  Such talks when the US is extending sanctions upon the DPRK would indeed be a complete waste of time . Worse still the US would use talks as a means to achieve regime change by stealth and destroy the socialist system in People's Korea . The DPRK is not going to fall into the trap that others fell into .  We think it is great that the DPRK is not allowing itself to be dragged into phony and meaningless talks with the US .
