Korean People Will Surely Force Japan to Pay for Its Crimes down through Generations: KCNA Commentary

Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- It is 71 years since the defeat of the Japanese imperialists who inflicted untold misfortune and pain upon the Korean nation and other Asian people.
Japan is, however, adding to its past crimes, refusing to redeem its crime-woven past even now.
The Japanese imperialists invaded Korea and desperately worked to exterminate the Korean nation in a sinister bid to realize its wild dream of "Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere."
The Japanese imperialists' massacres of Koreans were the most heinous and shuddering crimes against humanity that baffled human imagination.
They mercilessly killed in all brutal manners the Koreans who resisted against their invasion of Korea.
They made no scruple of reducing even peaceable inhabitants to victims of their scenario for dominating Asia.
Their massacre of Koreans in the wake of the Kanto great quake was clear evidence proving Japan's mass killings of Koreans committed out of chauvinism.
According to data of the Japanese "government-general in Korea" only, at least 23 000 Koreans were killed in the wake of the quake.
The Japanese imperialists forcibly took more than 8.4 million young and middle-aged Koreans to battle fields for aggression and slave labor sites. They abducted 200 000 Korean women, forcing them into sexual slavery. Many of them were mercilessly killed.
They made no scruple of committing such shuddering cannibalism as eating flesh of young Koreans in shambles of war during the Pacific War.
More than a million young and middle-aged Koreans lost their lives in battle fields and slave labor sites of the Japanese imperialists.
The horrible massacres committed by the Japanese imperialists were vividly manifested in mercilessly killing 146 000 out of 200 000 Korean women forced into sexual slavery.
The massacres committed by the Japanese barbarians were the most hideous crimes against humanity unprecedented in history of any country in the world.
The unimaginably thrice-cursed massacres were not perpetrated by them during the modern times and their colonial rule over Korea only.
Their brutal massacres of Koreans dated back to the period of Koryo Kingdom when they launched invasion of it and their ferocity and brutality reached their height during the Imjin Patriotic War (1592-1598).
The shuddering massacres perpetrated by Japanese murderers throughout centuries were genocides to exterminate the Korean nation and build a criminal state, kingdom of murderers on the land of Korea.
The Japanese murderers' mass killings were unprecedentedly monstrous crimes against humanity that put into the shade the Yankees' mass killings of Indians, Hitler fascist junta's genocide of Jews in the light of organized backing from the state, persistence and scale of killings and cruelty in their methods.
Nevertheless, the Japanese reactionaries, far from making a sincere apology to the Korean people and the world for their crimes against humanity, have persistently distorted history by denying and embellishing it and pursued their policy hostile to the DPRK.
In particular, the reactionaries are resorting to anti-DPRK "human rights" racket and the moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK, hyping the "issue of abduction" which was already settled by the DPRK-Japan Pyongyang Declaration. They openly reveal their wild ambition to launch reinvasion.
All facts go to prove that Japan works hard to evade its state responsibility for making apology and reparation for all crimes committed against the Korean people, while scheming to realize at any cost the old dream of "Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere" by imbuing the Japanese society with hostility toward the DPRK and militarism.
The Japanese imperialists' colonial rule over Korea ended long ago but Japan's history of unethical crimes has not ended at all.
If Japan persists in its moves for reinvasion, far from drawing a lesson from its crime-woven history, it will commit more indelible crimes against humanity to which no statue of limitation is applicable.
Gone are the days when Japan occupied and dominated other's land in a brigandish manner.
The service personnel and people of the DPRK will surely force the sworn enemy Japan to pay dearly for its thrice-cursed crimes down through generations. -0
