  The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK),the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE),the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the UK Preparatory Committee For the 2017 Gathering to Praise the Great Persons Born of Mt Paektu issued the following joint statement supporting the statement of the the Committee for Aiding Overseas Compatriots of Korea concerning the suppression of the democratic rights of Korean citizens in Japan:
 Many Koreans were taken to Japan by force in the past and reside in Japan. They are now proud overseas citizens of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and are organised in the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan(CHONGRYON). CHONGRYON  organised schools to give ethnic Korean children in Japan national education.
  However recently the Osaka District Court of Japan on Jan. 26 made a decision of turning down the suit filed by the Osaka Korean School, one of the institutions for national education of Korean residents in Japan, in September 2012 in defense of the Korean residents' right to democratic national education. This is yet another outrageous assault on the democratic rights of ethnic Korean in Japan . It is denying Korean children the right to an education.It is a violation of basic human rights .
   Our organisations roundly condemn the reactionary and fascistic authorities for their suppression of human rights. We call on the Japanse authorities to desist from their repressive actions and respect the rights of Koreans in Japan.
