Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Wednesday sent a message of greeting to Nguyen Phu Trong, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The message extended warm congratulations to the general secretary and the friendly party, government and people of Vietnam on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
It said that the Socialist Republic of Vietnam repelled outside forces' aggression and interference and won a great victory in the struggle for national liberation, the country's reunification and socialist construction for the past 75 years after its foundation.
Kim Jong Un said in the message that he was very pleased that the Vietnamese people have made many achievements in the struggle for building a prosperous and civilized socialist state under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by the general secretary.
Expressing the belief that the long-standing relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties and between the two countries would further develop onto a new high stage in the spirit of the agreement made with the general secretary in March last year, the message sincerely wished him greater success in his responsible work to lead the party and state. -0
