Let Us Hold Up Higher the Banner of Anti-Imperialism in the Struggle to Make Our Countries Independent

Let Us Hold Up Higher the Banner of Anti-Imperialism in the Struggle to Make Our Countries Independent

The period of historical development for 25 years since the collapse of socialism in the world is characterized as that the imperialists’ aggressive character had been more intensified and their intervention in the internal affairs of the countries that enforced independent politics and refused the domination of Washington had been more severe.
In recent years we have witnessed the imperialists’ invasion of Somalia, Iraq, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria. Under the pretext of “protection” of human rights the pressure upon the sovereign countries has been more severe and plots against the sovereign governments are being made under the pretext of so-called “color revolution”. But the result of these is certain. That is the destruction and collapse of the countries which once have been prosperous and the rise of civil wars and humanitarian crisis, thousands of refugees leaving their motherland. That is why it is an urgent problem to widely carry out the anti-imperialist struggle and to expand the anti-imperialist fighters’ international front on a big scale.
The DPRK has been the standard-bearer, firm fortress of anti-imperialist struggle that advances upholding the banner of independence for years.
Respected Kim Jong Un said in the report to the 7th Party Congress of the WPK as follows.
“The international arena is now beset with serious confrontation and battles between the world’s progressive peoples who have joined the struggle to defend the sovereignty and dignity of their countries and nations, and the imperialist reactionary forces who are pursuing policies of aggression and war by acting high-handedly and arbitrarily.
The prevailing international situation is characterized by the ever-worsening contradictions and confrontations among the world powers in their pursuit of a greater sphere of influence, and the gradual decline of the US-led imperialist reactionary forces in the showdown between the forces of independence and those of domination.”
The advanced people in the world now desire to safeguard the sovereignty of their own countries and to enforce independent politics. We, the followers of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, desire to completely win the people’s independence and build a world where there is no domination and subordination, aggression and intervention of internal affairs, a world where the equality and independence of each country and nation are ensured in the relationship between countries. Accordingly all the countries should hold up high the banner of anti-imperialism and should decisively reject the attempts to subordinate their own politics to Washington’s control.
The US dominators justify their invasions with the words “protection” of democracy and “global anti-terrorist warfare”. But those countries whose internal affairs were intervened by the US like Iraq, Syria and Libya which had been stable and safe have been changed into the source of regional instability, the base for the terrorists. It has been long time since the American democracy had given up to be the people’s government for their own sake. This is the government of the group of the shameless politicians who are enforcing the politics for only a few rich people and multinational monopolies who executes the politics that is contradictory to the sake of the majority of the people and that disregards the working people’s demand.
The main trend of the anti-imperialist struggle today is to fight for the peace and oppose the confrontation and the source of new tension and to fight against the imperialist reactionary forces’ violation of sovereignty of the countries which enforce independent politics. The good-minded people should carry out a decisive struggle for the liquidation of aggressive military alliances which are the tools for invasion for the imperialists.
One of the main directions of the anti-imperialist struggle is to enforce independent politics and protect the leaders of the states that are the “obstacles” of the imperialists’ lust for world domination. As the recent experience shows, when the protection of the leaders of the sovereign states are ignored, those states would lose their independence and fall into semi-colonies of the US and it could collapse, eventually. But the people of those countries where the people are firmly united around their leader are successfully frustrating not only the imperialists’ direct invasion but also their attempts of intervening in internal affairs.
In the current stage the character of the confrontation between the imperialists and the countries that enforce independent politics is that the imperialists use the method of fabricating the truths while violently neglecting the international laws and regulations and the national laws of sovereign countries. The allegation of mass destruction weapons in Iraq is the example. The history tells that we should not be deceived by the imperialists, which is made on the existence or nonexistence of the mass destruction weapons or violation of human rights or preparation of the war in their hostile countries.
The imperialists use huge amount of money and means of mass media for the purpose of injecting vulgarized perception of their hostile countries to the masses. But all of these are groundless lies, falsehoods quite different from the truth.
The US plans rebellions against the leaders of sovereign countries in order to realize their ambition of world domination pretending to be the “international gendarme” and organizes the training of the rebels and supports them with money and trains them into slaughter men and devilish homicides, and they also have direct relationship with the most vicious reactionary forces. The imperialists are little different from the “world terrorists” who are said to be fighting against them in the methods and conducts.
I want to especially emphasize that we should not compromise in the confrontation with the imperialists and that we should never trust the enemies’ promise and peaceful gestures. One of the main reasons the USSR collapsed is the policy the revisionists executed for years, that is, the so-called appeasement policy, the “policy of coexistence with the imperialism” and the policy of patience to the imperialists’ propaganda. It is a dangerous illusion to think that we can peacefully coexist and cooperate with the imperialists. By the aggressive policy of the imperialist, dominationist forces like the very US the sovereignty of many countries were ruined and regional disputes are endlessly erupting.
One of the tasks devolved upon the participants of the international Juche movement is to create an atmosphere of uncompromising struggle against the imperialist propaganda, an atmosphere of exposing the rumors and conjectures the imperialists spread in every country the Juche idea organizations are active.
Respected Kim Jong Un said in the report to the 7th Congress of the WPK as follows.
“The progressive countries and peoples of the world should thwart the imperialists’ ‘human rights’ campaign and lay bare the criminal nature of the United States and its vassal forces that has given rise to the worst-ever refugee crisis and their cruel human rights violations.”
The world people should always treat with awareness Goebbels-style fabrication method the US and the mass media of its following countries use. They also should not remain indifferent to the adoption of the discriminative resolutions, based on these filthy fabricated data, of the international organizations especially the UN that violates the rights of the independent people and obstruct their normal development.
I appeal to those companions taking part in the international movement for the research and spread of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism to firmly unite so that our countries could hold up high the banner of anti-imperialism. The countries and nations that desire independence should not have illusion to the promise of the US and should not drift into the stream of globalization which is based on the American standard and should maintain the independence and national character.
