Stubborn action against the US

Some days ago, the Busan People’s Solidarity held a press conference to denounce the US.  We are suffering from worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and the US is inflicting miseries upon us. The anti-US struggle is the one to defend the workers’ right to live, the head of the Busan headquarters under the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions claimed. The head of the Busan branch under the Progressive Party said that it will turn out in the struggle to put an end to the unequal US-south Korean alliance. For whom the US-south Korean alliance is necessary? We do not want the US-south Korean alliance obedient to the US and it is of little avail to the national prosperity and peace of the Korean Peninsula, the permanent representative of the women association of Busan said.

 

Chilly inter-Korean ties

 

South Korean media outlets and experts in north Korean affairs show deep concern at precarious situation of the Korean Peninsula.

 Washington pushes the situation of the Korean Peninsula to an extreme pitch of strain by persisting in its hostile policy toward north Korea, the media outlets said. Peace would not settle on the Korean Peninsula as long as the Uncle Sam has pursued the policy hostile to north Korea, they predicted. 

The experts in north Korean affairs claimed that the south Korean authorities are blame for the ruptured inter-Korean relations and keenly realize it.

 The media outlets and experts in north Korean affairs commented that the US and south Korean authorities’ U-turn in their attitude is a solution to   recovery of the bedeviled inter-Korean relationship.

  The human history of thought can be called a history which has studied the path for hewing out the human destiny.

  As the great leader Kim Il Sung clarified the principle of the Juche idea in June Juche 19(1930), the humanity could have a great idea which elucidated most scientifically the path for carving out the human destiny.

  The fundamental principle of the Juche idea is that man is the master of everything and decides everything.

The creation of the Juche idea by the great Kim Il Sung is of great significance in human history which cannot be compared with the fire brought by the mythical Prometheus to man."

  This was the outcry of emotion and joy shouted by the progressive mankind.

  To study and disseminate the Juche idea became an irresistible trend of the time.

  The Juche idea study organization was gradually expanded on a regional and worldwide scale, transcending the countries, nations and organizations.

  An inaugural congress of the International Institute of the Juche Idea was held in Tokyo of Japan on April 9, Juche 67(1978), which was the birth of the world's academic organization for studying and disseminating the Juche idea.

  Adopted at the congress was the inaugural declaration titled "Juche Idea, Sacred Banner of the Era of Independence". The declaration stressed that the era of subordination and humiliation has gone, the mankind has greeted an era of independence and the Juche idea is the integrated system of idea, theory and method giving the most correct answers to all problems arising in realizing the independence of a country and a nation and the popular masses.

  The establishment of the International Institute of the Juche Idea was a product of the desire of the Juche idea followers of the world and the progressive mankind to open a new era of independence under the banner of the Juche idea.

  The World Conference on the Juche Idea was grandly held in Pyongyang in April Juche 101(2012) on the occasion of the centenary birth anniversary of the great leader Kim Il Sung.

  Speakers at the conference said the independent new world is fully applying the Juche idea and Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism should be regarded as a guideline in order to promote the cause of global independence.

  In history there were many progressive ideas and theories that exerted a great influence on the contemporary age and posterity, but never known in history were such an idea and theory as the Juche idea which was studied and disseminated on a worldwide scale.

  The Juche idea will light the whole world as a beacon illumining the road ahead of humanity in the era of independence forever.

KCNA Commentary Slams Japan's Risky Preparations for Reinvasion

Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- The Japanese reactionaries' military moves have reached a phase that should not be overlooked.

Shortly ago, Japanese Defense Minister Kishi reportedly ordered his inferiors to keep "full preparations", trumpeting about the "severity and uncertainty of security environment" at a commissioning ceremony of a new Aegis ship for the maritime "Self-Defense Force".

This is nothing but an extremely risky order to further step up the preparations for launching continental aggression at any time.

Japan's pursuance of the wild ambition for turning itself into a military giant by all means has been further accelerated since the Suga regime appeared.

Openly calling for the continuity of the policies of the Abe regime which ran amuck to make Japan a war-capable country, the current regime of Japan has poured the largest-ever money into the development, production and purchase of offensive weaponry.

For about six months, Japan has built and launched various kinds of warships such as a new-type submarine and an escort ship. It puts spurs to the development of the next-generation fighter with the latest stealth capability and a long-range missile capable of striking the DPRK and China.

In March alone, it built and launched with due ceremony a miniaturized escort ship which can perform different missions with an intensive operational system. Then, it officially put into commission a new sonar ship dubbed as "submarine hunter" capable of tracking and identifying submarines several hundred kilometers away and the world's biggest diesel-powered submarine with a longer underwater operation time and improved combat power.

Against this backdrop, Japan is speeding up the founding of new military units including a special education unit for training a cyber defense force and a marine transport unit for defending a solitary island. It plans to set up an electronic warfare unit for jamming enemy communications or radar in contingency and deploy such units in various parts of Japan.

Not content with staging war drills for defending and retaking a solitary island more fanatically than ever before, it has frequently dispatched its aggressor forces to joint military drills with other countries in the east and south China seas and the Pacific.

All these facts vividly show what an extreme phase Japan has reached in its wild ambition for realizing the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" at all costs by igniting another war of aggression.

Japan's frantic moves to emerge as a military giant are a serious provocation harassing regional peace and stability.

The international community never welcomes Japan seeking to disturb regional peace and stability and bring misfortune and pain to humankind again.

The Japanese reactionaries should not act rashly, mindful of the ever-sharpening vigilance of regional countries against Japan. -0-

Why Does the West Deny the Reality of the DPRK?

                                                           

Foreigners on a visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea are surprised to see that the reality of the country is quite different from how it is described by the West. In fact, it is almost impossible to find an article which fairly assesses the reality of the country in the publications of the Western countries including the US.

Then, why does the West deny its reality? It is necessary to observe its reality in comparison to the reality in the West.

Every citizen in the DPRK has a right to elect and to be elected. Workers, farmers and intellectuals can be elected deputies to people’s assemblies at all levels including the Supreme People’s Assembly (Parliament in the Western countries), and participate directly in the state administration. In the West, however, the right to elect and to be elected is granted according to the duration of residence and property status. It is rare that workers and peasants are elected to the Parliament or local councils.

Unemployment always exists in any Western country no matter how developed it may be, but there is no word unemployment in the DPRK. The state provides all citizens of working age with suitable jobs according to their wishes and aptitudes.

There are no homeless people in the country. The state provides houses to the working people free of charge. Ordinary workers and office employees live in the excellent apartment houses in Mirae Scientists and Ryomyong streets in Pyongyang, which are admired by many people in the world. When flooding hit the country last year, the state built new houses for the flood victims through an all-out drive. The newly-built houses numbered over 20 000.

The Korean people are not concerned about nursing, education and medical treatment. The state bears the whole burden of looking after and bringing up children. University and extracurricular educations, to say nothing of primary and secondary educations, are free. The state enforces universal 12-year compulsory education, which is a high level in the world. Ri (dong), which is the lowest administrative unit in the country, has a hospital or clinic, and residents have doctors assigned to them. Anyone receives free medical care.

Such facts, if known to the international community, will be nothing but the biggest trouble for those who are trying to isolate and stifle the DPRK. That is why the West is so enthusiastic about tarnishing the image of the DPRK. 

The DPRK Seen through Women’s Rights

                                                        

The definition and realization of women’s social position and rights depend on the type of society they live in. The women’s rights issue can show the true nature of a society.

Then, how are they ensured in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea?

First, women’s dignity and personality are guaranteed by law in the country.

It has taken legislative and practical measures so that women can possess and exercise equal rights with men in all fields of the state and social life. More than seventy years ago, the Law on Sex Equality was adopted to ensure women’s equality and political rights. The Socialist Constitution, the law on providing women’s rights, socialist labour law and others guarantee their rights in the political, economic, cultural and all other fields. Women’s dignity and personality are respected thanks to the state and social policies, and this has become a universal climate and virtue of the society.

Second, they freely take part in the state and social activities as legitimate masters of the country, making proactive contributions to social development.

They are eligible for deputyship to the Supreme People’s Assembly and fully exercise their political rights in the ruling Workers’ Party of Korea, working people’s organizations and other political organizations. Not a few of them hold responsible positions in their respective organs. Women are playing active and prominent roles in the fields of science, education, public health, arts and sports. What should be mentioned in particular is the fact that they exercise all their rights as equal and free members of society regardless of social position, stratum and property status. They are free from unemployment, human trafficking, domestic violence and all other fetters and forms of inequality.

Third, they enjoy special benefits from the state.

The nurseries, kindergartens and public amenities set up in residential quarters, factories, enterprises and cooperative farms make it possible for them to take part in production and social activities feeling no inconvenience. There are hospitals dedicated to women such as the Breast Tumour Institute of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital, and it is the government policy to diagnose early and treat the women’s diseases. It is not uncommon that the state sends even an airplane and takes all necessary measures for a woman and her premature baby. The country encourages women to have many children; it assigns doctors to the women who gave birth to triplets or quadruplets and provides them with houses on a preferential basis. There are many other special benefits for them. And those with many children are awarded with the title of “Mother Hero.

An Irish woman said: If I can be born again, I want to be born a Korean woman; the DPRK is a real heaven for women, in which their genuine rights and dignity are ensured at the highest level. 

A Leader of Strong Will

                                              

Despite the protracted and ever-growing economic blockade and military threats by the hostile forces that are not happy with its independent advance and development, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is steadfastly following the road of its development. Moreover, the country is dynamically advancing to achieve the ambitious objective for building itself into a powerful socialist country.

This eye-opening reality is unthinkable separated from the leadership of Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the DPRK.

The international community regards the DPRK leader as a leader of strong will.

At the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the ruling Workers’ Party of Korea held in December 2019, Kim Jong Un said that a fierce confrontation with the enemy is always accompanied by the work of strengthening one’s own forces and one can take the initiative in the confrontation and achieve victory only when one gives priority to strengthening oneself. And he advanced the slogan “Let us smash straight through all the barriers hampering our advance!”

He led all the people in the frontal attack for achieving a breakthrough, so as to frustrate the hostile forces’ blockade on the strength of self-reliance. He encouraged all the units of the national economy to push ahead with sustainable development of the country by relying on domestic raw materials and resources and by constantly exploring and utilizing internal potentials and internal dynamic force. He ensured that the military capability of the country for self-defence was further bolstered up to cope with the military challenge by the hostile forces.

For the country, 2020 was a year of unexpected disasters; it had to conduct the epidemic prevention work in the face of the worldwide health crisis and, at the same time, rehabilitate the areas hit by unprecedentedly severe flooding and subsequent typhoons.

Giving absolute priority to protecting the people’s lives and security, Kim Jong Unensured that the epidemic prevention efforts were intensified; he also saw to it that rehabilitation projects were conducted simultaneously in the disaster-stricken areas of the country. Having successfully overcome all the difficulties, he unfolded a blueprint for bringing about a brighter future; when he visited the Komdok area, a leading nonferrous mineral producer of the country, which had been devastated by the natural disaster, he set forth a long-term goal to turn it into a world-class gorge town instead of merely rehabilitating the area.

The Offender Attempts to Judge the Victim

 Recently some Western countries have been insisting that the “north Korean human rights issue” should be treated by the United Nations Security Council.

In retrospect, the UNSC discussed the DPRK’s “human rights issue” and passed “human rights resolutions” against it every year from 2014. However, since 2018 it has failed to put the agenda item itself up on the table as the permanent member nations failed to reach consensus. Unhappy with this situation, those who are hostile towards the country are kicking up a fuss.

In fact, it is not the “human rights issue of north Korea” but the human rights atrocities of the US and other western countries against it that must be brought to the UNSC.

They have resorted to sanctions and blockade against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea since its nascent years, simply because it had chosen the road of socialism, the road of independence. During the Korean war (1950～1953) they used even germ weapons, massacred a large number of civilians and reduced the country to ashes. After the ceasefire, they continued hostility and intensified sanctions, at the same time as ceaselessly threatening it with nuclear war. Their hostile policy persisted even after the cold war had come to an end, and got extreme when the DPRK possessed self-defensive nuclear deterrent in response to the increasing nuclear threats by the hostile forces.

Data show that the damage inflicted upon the country by the US from September 1945 to 2005 amounted to USD 64 959.854 billion.

The current sanctions and blockade against it are human rights atrocities untold in human history. The hostile forces are blocking its humanitarian activities, not to mention its normal trade with other countries.

In spite of this, the Western countries are desperately trying to internationalize the “north Korean human rights issue,” which is truly the case of a thief crying for thief. Their real intention is to cover their human rights crimes by branding the DPRK, the, th victim of their violations, as the accused at all costs and, still further, execute their plans to isolate socialist Korea from the international community and stifle it by whatever means.

           The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK,the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea Study ,the UK Korean Friendship Association and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP)  issued a statement today in support of the remarks made by comrade Kim Yo Jong ,vice director of the Information and Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) on the 30th of March ;

  Comrade Kim Yo Jong has rightly exposed the nonsensical hypocrisy and double standards of the current south Korean chief executive of south Korea who recently had the temerity to take issue with the recent self-defensive missile of People's Korea .

  The south Korean ruler shamelessly complained about the DPRK tactical guided missile test on the 25th of March saying that 'Things causing difficulty to creating atmosphere for dialogue are something truly undesirable"  . However the self-same man on the 23rd of July 2020 visited the Defence Science Institute of south Korea and apparently was excited to see a missile and praised it saying that 'Now we have reached the point of developing ballistic missiles with firing range and which are loadable with warhead with weight of the world's highest level enough to defend peace of the Korean peninsula.".

   As comrade Kim Yo Jong correctly points out ;'He meant the test-firing of ballistic missiles conducted by the Defence Science Institute of south Korea is for peace and dialogue in the Korean peninsula but that conducted by the Academy of Defence Science of the DPRK is something undesirable that arouses serious concern among the people in the south and chills the atmosphere for dialogue. We can hardly repress astonishment at his shamelessness.'

  Indeed the south Korean chief executive is a fool and a hypocrite whose idiocy does not have a He can not feel sorry for being "praised" as a parrot raised by America. . The south Korean chief executive just blindly repeats what his Yankee masters tell him . Indeed   'He can not feel sorry for being "praised" as a parrot raised by America.'. This is a most apt and fitting description of the south Korean chief executive who totally lacks independence . The south Korean chief executive has done nothing to make south Korea independent during his tenure .

  What is most important is that the progressive people of the world should see through the south Korean regime . It is not 'for peace ' and it is really a chip of the old pro American block . Basically trendy liberal puppets have taken the place of fascist and 'conservative puppets . The form is different but the content is the same.

 We urge that progressive and peaceloving peoples should have no illusions about the south Korean chief executive and do more to fight for peace on the Korean peninsula .

Vice-Director of Information and Publicity Department of WPK Central Committee Kim Yo Jong Releases Statement

Pyongyang, March 30 (KCNA) -- Kim Yo Jong, vice-director of the Information and Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), made public the following statement on March 30:

Whenever I hear rhetoric from south Korea beyond the demarcation line, I am struck speechless, especially when the south Korean chief executive personally utters something about us over a mike before audience.

His speech at the so-called "ceremony for commemorating the day of defending the West Sea" on March 26 again astonished the people of the DPRK.

Over our test-fire of new-type tactical guided missiles, he said "I am well aware that all of you deeply worry about the recent test-fire of missiles by the north. It is high time that the south, the north and the U.S. all had to endeavor to do things for dialogue. Things causing difficulty to creating atmosphere for dialogue are something truly undesirable."

He meant that the step taken by us to bolster the capabilities for national defence, exercise of the legitimate sovereign right pertaining to the DPRK, has aroused apprehension among the south Koreans and caused trouble and obstacle to the efforts to create the atmosphere favorable for dialogue.

This is height of effrontery.

Still we clearly remember what the south Korean chief executive said during his visit to the Defence Science Institute of south Korea on July 23, 2020.

He said that "I was greatly excited to see the giant structure of missile and to see it accurately hitting the target in the sea without the slightest deviation. I felt really reassured to see the ultra-modern strategic weapons equipped with the world's highest accuracy level and powerful destructive power. Now we have reached the point of developing ballistic missiles with firing range and which are loadable with warhead with weight of the world's highest level enough to defend peace of the Korean peninsula."

This "speech" stands a striking contrast to the commemorative speech a few days ago.

He meant the test-firing of ballistic missiles conducted by the Defence Science Institute of south Korea is for peace and dialogue in the Korean peninsula but that conducted by the Academy of Defence Science of the DPRK is something undesirable that arouses serious concern among the people in the south and chills the atmosphere for dialogue. We can hardly repress astonishment at his shamelessness.

He doesn't have even the elementary logic and face.

Such illogical and brazen-faced behavior of south Korea is exactly the same as the gangster-like logic of the U.S. faulting the right of the DPRK to self-defence as a violation of the UN "resolutions" and "threats" to the international community.

He can not feel sorry for being "praised" as a parrot raised by America.

This could be what is described as self-contradictory and being caught in one's own trap.

He is advised to sometimes think about how he is viewed by the world. -0-

           The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK,the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea Study ,the UK Korean Friendship Association and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) fully supports the statement issued by Jo Chol Su, director-general of the Department of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK on Sunday 28th of March which  was titled  "Double Standard Will Invite More Serious Consequence';

  The statement made by comrade Jo Chol Su director general of the Department of International Organisations of the DPRK Foreign Ministry is a very important one clarifying the just stand of the DPRK on the issue of its recent successful test of a tactical guided missile , a purely self-defensive measure which should not invite any comment from outside of the DPRK .

  However the US and its minions slandered the DPRK over its self-defensive missile test branding it as a 'threat '. They have even gone as far to call a consultative meeting of the UN Security Council on the 26th of March and plan a closed meeting of the UN Security Council on the 30th of March . Also they have talked about ' additional sanctions on People's Korea  which is both an affront to the sovereignty of  the DPRK as well as an attempt to strangle self-reliant socialist construction in People's Korea .

  The US and its satellite states are called out for their hypocrisy by the statement of Jo Chol Su which points out that the US launched a missile attack on Syria recently , Britain announced a 40 per cent increase in the number of nuclear warheads and France conducted a test fire of an ICBM . It could be added also that the US tested a Minuteman missile . However the UN Security Council has not paid any attention to these actions undermining peace and no meeting of the UN Security Council has been called to discuss them . Only People's Korea has been unfairly singled out .

  As comrade Jo Chol Su 's statement rightly points out ' UNSC should strictly follow the principle of impartiality, objectivity and equity if it is to be conducive to world peace and security in line with its intrinsic mission.' Moreover it also says that the DPRK will take counter-measures if its right to self-defence continues to infringed upon . We support this warning . The DPRK's right to self-defence must be respected  !

Message of Solidarity to KFA UK from the Brazilian Centre for the Study of Songun Politics

It is with deep indignation that the Brazilian Center for the Study of Songun Politics received the regrettable news of the political and ideological persecution that Facebook recently promoted against Dr. Dermot Hudson, an English personality who for years has had a job worthy of defending democratic and peace ideals.

It is not a new fact that people, pages, channels and study groups that work for the Revolution or the understanding of revolutionary processes such as that of Korea

are openly censored by the great media of the internet.

Even so, is unacceptable this type of attitude that runs counter to the official discourse that the West is the ‘bastion of democracy’ and ‘free enterprise’

We strongly condemn the unjust imposition of censorship against KFA-UK members, especially its Chairman, Dr. Dermot Hudson, and send a message of solidarity to his cause that is common to ours.

We take the opportunity to praise the great content produced by the organization and the correct line of conduct that it has been following for years.

Double Standard Will Invite More Serious Consequence: Director-General of Department of International Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of DPRK

Pyongyang, March 29 (KCNA) -- Jo Chol Su, director-general of the Department of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, released the following press statement on Sunday:

Our test fire of new-type tactical guided missile on March 25 is an exercise of its righteous self-defensive right to deter military threats posed to the Korean peninsula and safeguard peace and prosperity of our state.

But, dangerous attempt is openly emerging, which is designed to negate the right of our state to self-defense.

The United Nations Security Council Sanctions Committee on DPRK held its closed working-level consultation hastily on March 26, where the United States called for "tightening implementation of sanctions" and "applying additional sanctions", while denouncing our self-defensive measure as "violation of UN resolutions."

It was also reported that, at the request of UK, France and other countries, the United Nations Security Council had decided to convene its closed meeting on March 30 to deal with the issue of our test fire of new-type tactical guided missile.

It constitutes a denial of sovereign state and an apparent double standard that UNSC takes issue, on the basis of the UN "resolutions" - direct products of the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK - with the normal activities which fall within the right of our state to self-defense.

It does not make any sense that only our righteous self-defensive measure should be singled out for denunciation, when many other countries across the globe are firing all kinds of projectiles for the purpose of increasing their military strength.

This also holds true when it is viewed from the principle of objectivity and impartiality.

The basic principle of and the logical sequence in solving any issue are to get to the bottom of the issue in an objective and impartial way.

The United Nations Security Council remains silent whenever U.S. enforces war drills against the DPRK at any time in its face. The contrast, however, is that it picks on the DPRK peremptorily when the latter takes self-defensive counter measures for defending the security of the state.

If this is the conduct of UNSC, we are only compelled to look at the cases of U.S., UK and France picking a quarrel with our self-defensive measure.

It is only some time ago when U.S. launched air raid against the territory of Syria. It is also only some days ago when UK made an official announcement that it would make a drastic increase in its nuclear warheads, having reneged on its nuclear disarmament obligations. The same is true of France which conducted a test fire of the new-generation, multi-tipped intercontinental ballistic missile.

The United Nations Security Council does not have a single record of having questioned or discussed such acts.

It is indeed preposterous that such countries spearheading the moves to undermine global peace and stability are picking on our self-defensive measure.

I strongly denounce the moves of UNSC as a serious infringement upon the dignity of an independent state and its sovereignty and a wanton violation of the UN Charter, as UNSC is holding meetings on and conducting investigations into the DPRK with its extreme bias and double standard.

UNSC should strictly follow the principle of impartiality, objectivity and equity if it is to be conducive to world peace and security in line with its intrinsic mission.

If UNSC continues to hold to double standard, it will only cause an aggravation, not amelioration, of situation and confrontation, not dialogue, on the Korean peninsula.

We will never condone the moves of some members of UNSC for abusing the United Nations in their pursuits of ulterior motives to trample on the sovereignty of independent countries and hold in check their development.

Any attempt to infringe upon our right to self-defense will inevitably prompt a countermeasure in kind. -0-

To be frank, south Korea finds itself in a delicate position.

The US has pushed south Korea for participation in Quad to contain China.

It is as plain as a pikestaff that south Korea is doomed to alienate from China, the biggest economic partner, if it takes part in the Quad. It is beyond doubt that it cannot escape from a baptism of rejection from China.

Chinese Huan Qiu Shibao and Global Times highlighted south Korea’s participation in the Quad would offer more disadvantages than advantages.

The participation in the Quad is an act as lifting an ax to drop it on one's own foot.

The 31st of March will see the 39th anniversary of the publication of the historic and classic treatise "ON THE JUCHE IDEA " by the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il.
This work of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il fully systematised and carried to a new higher level, the immortal Juche idea authored by the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung , the eternal president of the DPRK. President Kim Il Sung had developed the Juche idea over a number of years, important landmarks in this development were the works "Path of the Korean Revolution", "On Eliminating Dogmatism and Formalism and establishing Juche in ideological work"and " On some problems of our party's Juche idea and the government of the Republic's internal and external policies"
Leader Kim Jong Il in his thesis "ON THE JUCHE IDEA" looked at the Juche idea in its entirety . In the work he examined the application of the Juche idea to philosophy and historiography as well the application of the Juche idea in practical fields. In this work for the first time in the history of philosophy leader comrade Kim Jong Il defined the nature and essence of man. He said that man is a being , with independence,creativity and consciousness. These three factors form an integral whole. He taught that Juche proves that man is the master of the world, he said
"The Juche idea shows a new viewpoint and attitude to the world, on the basis of man′s position and role as master of the world.

The viewpoint and attitude to the world shown by the Juche idea are those with which the world is approached by focusing on man, the master of the world.

Taking a man-centred attitude towards the world means approaching the world from the viewpoint of interests of man, the master of the world."

This work demonstrates the true philosophical genius of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il .

The work "ON THE JUCHE IDEA " brilliantly expounded the superiority of the Juche idea. It showed have it overcame limitations of preceding theories such as determinism and over-emphasis on material and economic factors. At the same time it soundly crushed revisionist and opportunist theories which preached giving up revolution and weakened (and eventually frustrated) the building of socialism.

The work "ON THE JUCHE IDEA " shines brightly as a brilliant manifesto for total human liberation in all fields. It gives correct answers for those building socialism, correct answers for those overcoming imperialist oppression building new independent societies , correct answers for those struggling for independence against imperialism and correct answers for those fighting against capitalist oppression and exploitation.
   Today the Korean people under the leadership of respected Marshal Kim Jong Un are advancing to final victory under the banner of the Juche idea and self-reliance. The Juche-based policy of self-reliance will smash the sanctions of the imperialist hostile forces.

           The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK,the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea Study ,the UK Korean Friendship Association and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) today issued a statement in support  of the just stand of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK )expressed in the statement of Pyong Chol, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK);

   On the 25th of March  People's Korea successfully tested a new type of tactical guided missile . The test was carried out on the soil of the DPRK . It is the absolute sovereign right of the DPRK to test missiles on its territory , this is something no one should make an issue of . Moreover it is natural and just  for the DPRK to increase its national defence capabilities in the face of continued threats from  the US . 

 However the US has kicked up a fuss about the DPRK's missile test with its chief executive Sleepy Joe Biden  making threats against People's Korea blathering about 'responses ' and claiming UN resolutions have been breached . Biden has even called for a UN Security Council meeting over the DPRK's missile test . It is extremely hypocritical for the US to act in this way as it recently carried out a test of its 'Minuteman ' ICBM .

 The statement of comrade Ri Pyong Chol highlights the hypocrisy and double standards of the US pointing out that  

"It is a gangster-like logic that it is allowable for the U.S. to ship the strategic nuclear assets into the Korean peninsula and launch ICBMs any time it wants but not allowable for the DPRK, its belligerent party, to conduct even a test of a tactical weapons'. 

  The Biden regime in the US which has only been in power for a few months is showing increasing hostility towards People's Korea as shown by the remarks of Biden and a series of incidents  .It is more than appropriate for People's Korea to take counter-measures and boost its national defence capacity steadily.

 Comrade Ri Pyong Chol warns the US that it may be faced with something that is not good if it carries on the way it is going . Moreover the DPRK will continue to increase its military power .

  We support the warnings given by comrade Ri Pyong Chol and support the measures of the DPRK to defend its sovereignty by increasing its national defence capacity.

Ri Pyong Chol Expresses Deep Concern over U.S. President's Statement Faulting DPRK's Regular Testfire

Pyongyang, March 27 (KCNA) -- Ri Pyong Chol, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), released the following statement on Friday:

The recent testfire of new-type tactical guided missiles was an act tantamount to the exercise of the full-fledged right of a sovereign state for self-defense as it was a process that had been undertaken to implement the goals of the policy on national defence science set forth by our Party and government to boost the defence capabilities of the country.

We cannot but build invincible physical power for reliably defending the security of our state under the present situation in which south Korea and the U.S. constantly pose military threats to the Korean peninsula while persistently conducting dangerous war exercises and introducing advanced weapons.

We express our deep concern over the U.S. chief executive faulting the regular testfire, exercise of our state's right to self-defence, as the violation of UN "resolutions" and openly revealing his deep-seated hostility toward the DPRK.

Such remarks from the U.S. president are an undisguised encroachment on our state's right to self-defence and provocation to it.

It is a gangster-like logic that it is allowable for the U.S. to ship the strategic nuclear assets into the Korean peninsula and launch ICBMs any time it wants but not allowable for the DPRK, its belligerent party, to conduct even a test of a tactical weapon.

We clearly remember that after the appearance of the new administration in Washington there have been exploitation of every opportunity to make words and acts provoking the sovereignty and dignity of our state in which we were branded as the most serious "security threat".

The bellicose stance of the new U.S. administration awakens us to the way to be followed by us and convinces us of the justice of the work to be done by us once again.

We are by no means developing weapons to draw someone's attention or influence his policy.

If the war exercise staged by the U.S. right before its belligerent party across the ocean is for "defence", we are supposed to have the full-fledged right to self-defence to contain the former's military threat on its mainland.

I think that the new U.S. administration obviously took its first step wrong.

If the U.S. continues with its thoughtless remarks without thinking of the consequences, it may be faced with something that is not good.

We know very well what we must do.

The Permanent Mission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the United Nations Office at Geneva and Other International Organizations in Switzerland issued on March 23 the press statement with regard to the anti-DPRK “human rights resolution” railroaded once again by the hostile forces at the 46th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council.

The press statement reads as follows:

The Permanent Mission of the DPRK vehemently denies and categorically rejects the anti-DPRK “human rights resolution” – an illegal and outrageous paper woven by political fraud – that was forced into adoption at the 46th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council.

The European Union and other Western countries have turned dead their backs on the stark reality of the DPRK and disgustingly embraced a handful of human scums. The diabolical and maniacal “human rights” smear campaign by these countries against the DPRK is prompting the high resentment of the entire Korean people.

Their reckless human rights racket is the height of last-ditch attempts by the losers of history to tarnish the dignified prestige of our state and check our people’s vigorous advance towards victory of the socialist cause.

In our country, where people-first principle becomes the main mode of politics, all the lines and policies of the state are worked out on the basis of the will and requirements of the people, and all state affairs are carried out on the principle of giving highest and absolute priority to the people’s interests and their convenience.

Yet insufficient as the living conditions may be, all the people are united into a large harmonious family, sharing sweets and bitters, and are opening up the road to prosperity by their own hands. This is the intrinsic feature of our society.

An attempt to measure our people’s enjoyment of human rights with the Western-style human rights yardstick is a foolish behavior equivalent to a 3-year-old little boy struggling to judge the knowledge of a university student.

It should be made clear that the main culprits who must seat in the criminal’s dock of human rights court are none other than the sponsors of the anti-DPRK “human rights resolution”.

The world is now vividly witnessing all kinds of crimes rooted in the extreme hate, including horrible racial discrimination, xenophobia, islamophobia, gun-related crimes and police brutalities committed in the Western countries which pretend to be the protagonists of human rights.

The horrifying reality unfolding in the Western countries offers an evidence that the human rights mechanisms and standards of these countries are carrying serious problems.

The UNHRC is obliged to work to shape the international human rights forum into the one for protecting and promoting the genuine human rights by taking impartiality and objectivity as the basic mission of its activities, and it should not acquiesce in the slightest practice of high-handedness and arbitrariness by a handful of specific countries and forces.

There are no human rights apart from state rights.

It is a bitter lesson learnt from the modern history of international politics that people deprived of the state sovereignty are destined to lose everything they so much cherish and are forced into suffering the miserable fate in the vortex of social turbulence caused by war.

We will continue as ever to strongly counter to the end the despicable anti-DPRK “human rights” plots of the hostile forces by employing all possible ways and means.

DPRK's History of Self-reliance (2)

Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- Self-reliance was the lifeline of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA) during the protracted anti-Japanese revolutionary war.

It was an unbreakable spirit of the KPRA that self-reliance is the only way to overcome difficulties and create a thing out of nothing.

With this spirit, arsenal members at the guerrilla zones increased the production of bombs and made even wooden cannons.

The wooden cannon, manufactured for the first time at an arsenal in Wangqing County, fully displayed its might in the battles defending guerilla zones and attacking barracks of the Japanese imperialist aggression army.

In the latter half of the 1930s, the KPRA units relinquished the guerrilla zones and advanced into vast areas to conduct large-scale guerrilla warfare under a new strategic line set by President Kim Il Sung. At that time, secret bases were built in the vast primeval forest area with Mt Paektu as the centre.

In those secret camps, members of arsenals made bombs with blacksmith's tools like file, whetstone and hammer to supply them to guerrilla units and even repaired rifle cartridge grip and striker and machine guns.

When a sewing needle was broken in the course of producing hundreds of socks to be sent to members of the frontline units of the KPRA, they made the sewing needle with a darner to perform their duty in time.

The KPRA members also manufactured medical appliances like scalpel and forceps by their own efforts to be used for the treatment of wounded persons. -0-

Some south Korean politicians have claimed that the Biden administration and the south Korean authorities should devise their hostile policies toward north Korea from different standpoint, south Korean media outlets said.

The Biden administration’s pressure upon north Korea will never reduce north Korea into submission, north Korea is a nuclear weapons state so "nuclear program renouncement first” is infeasible, the US should issue war-end declaration on the Korean Peninsula and start dialogue for peace treaty before making a demand for first action on north Korea, they demanded. 

In order to mend frozen inter-Korean relations, the south Korean authorities should keep their “distance” with the US and accept north Korea’s request, they stated.   

The south Korea-US joint military war exercise adds fuel to the tensions on the Korean Peninsula, it would be of valuable help to establish a climate for repairing inter-Korean ties, if the south Korean authorities made public their official stand on suspension of the joint war game with the US.

Academy of Defence Science Test-fires New-type Tactical Guided Missiles

Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- The Academy of Defence Science of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea test-fired newly developed new-type tactical guided missiles on Thursday.

The test was guided by Ri Pyong Chol, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the Department of Munitions Industry of the Party Central Committee and leading officials in the sector of national defence scientific research.

The newly developed new-type tactical guided missile is a weapon system whose warhead weight has been improved to be 2.5 tonnes with the use of the core technology of tactical guided missile that was already developed.

The two testfired new-type tactical guided missiles accurately hit the target set in the waters 600 kilometers off the east coast of Korea.

Right after the test-firing, the Academy of Defence Science clarified that the test-firing was very successful just as it had been confidently predicted, adding that the reliability of the improved version of solid fuel engine was confirmed through several engine ground jet tests and their test-firing processes, and that the irregular orbit features of low-altitude gliding leap type flight mode already applied to other guided missile were also re-confirmed.

Ri Pyong Chol said that the test-firing is an important process in implementing the policy of national defence science set forth at the 8th Congress of the WPK and that the development of this weapon system is of great significance in bolstering up the military power of the country and deterring all sorts of military threats existing on the Korean Peninsula.

He immediately reported the successful result of the test-firing to the General Secretary of the WPK and conveyed the congratulations of the Party Central Committee to the sector of national defence scientific research. -0-

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Clarifies Plan to Form Area of Riverside Terraced Houses around Pothong Gate

Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), clarified a plan to newly erect the area of riverside terraced houses around the Pothong Gate, and looked around the site.

Accompanying him were officials of the Party and the government Jo Yong Won, Kim Tok Hun, Jong Sang Hak, Ri Il Hwan, O Su Yong, Choe Sang Gon, Kim Jae Ryong and Chief Secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK Kim Yong Hwan.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un explained the plan to form the area of modern terraced houses along the picturesque bank of the Pothong River flowing through the central part of the capital city and to turn the area in a peculiar way by putting up multi-story and low-story dwelling houses in a harmonious way.

Calling for preserving the specific features and charm of the city by doing the designing of buildings and tree-planting well so that the beautiful natural scenery of our country would be fully displayed, he said that the area of the riverside terraced houses around the Pothong Gate will be wonderfully built to be a model of housing district in our country.

He said that the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea is going to push forward the construction of the riverside terraced houses for 800 flats in the area around the Pothong Gate apart from the construction of 10 000 flats in Pyongyang City, complete them within this year and give them as gifts to working people including labor innovators and persons of distinguished services in all sectors, scientists, educators and writers who devote themselves to the Party and the state.

Noting that our officials lack knowledge and common sense of urban greening and designing of cityscape and are also indifferent to them, he stressed the need to do the city construction by fusing buildings and nature into one and laying out the living space and ecological space in a scientific way so as to ensure the organic combination of work, relaxation and traffic.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Learns about Trial Products of New Passenger Buses

Always being considerate of the public transportation in the capital city, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un unfolded the far-reaching plan for taking a decisive measure for the improved transportation for Pyongyang citizens though he was busy guiding the 2nd Plenary Meeting of the 8th Congress of the Party Central Committee, and made sure that detailed consultation was made of issues arising in the development of the public transportation network in the capital city.

In hearty response to the tasks set forth by Kim Jong Un, the officials and workers of the Pyongyang General Passenger Service Enterprise and the Pyongyang City Bus Factory developed passenger bus and double-decker in a short period and reported it to the Party Central Committee.

Kim Jong Un watched the trial products of the passenger buses at the building of the Party Central Committee together with Jo Yong Won, Kim Tok Hun, Jong Sang Hak, Ri Il Hwan, O Su Yong, Choe Sang Gon and Kim Jae Ryong who are officials of the Party and the government, and Kim Yong Hwan, chief secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK.

He boarded the buses and learned about the details of technical features one by one. He said that it is something admirable that Pyongyang City set out to make buses in reliance on its own technical force and production foundation to settle the problem of the public transportation means. He added that passenger buses that help city beautification and which are convenient for the people to use should be mass-produced, stressing that the Party will actively support it.

He emphasized that to ease the strain on the passenger transport in the capital city and to promote the conveniences for the public transport of the citizens to the maximum is one of fundamental issues for the administration of the capital city and is of important significance for more satisfactorily providing social and cultured living conditions for the people.

Learning about the issues arising in the production of passenger buses, he indicated the yearly production goal and took measures for implementing it. -0- 

KFA - UK condemns British government statement about DPRK self -defensive actions .

The Korean Friendship Association - United Kingdom expresses its total condemnation of the statement issued by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office's grandiosely titled Minister for Asia, Nigel Adams MP.

In it, the trouble-stirring loudmouth expressed his 'concern' at the DPRK's testing of two short-range ballistic missiles even before the fact of their launch was confirmed by Pyongyang. He also repeated the nonsensical claim such routine tests were prohibited by a United Nations resolution, despite the fact the United States, among other nations, had recently fired longer range intercontinental ballistic rockets; yet there was no international furore raised in those cases.

It should not be forgotten the UK government recently announced a more aggressive foreign policy including an increase of 60% in the number of Trident nuclear warheads, and preparations for fighting battles in space; along with plans for a naval task force that can hardly be afforded in these straitened economic times to patrol the seas of the far east, many thousands of miles away from UK territorial waters.

The United State  and it's pipsqueak puppet UK government should put its own house in order and hold its tongue instead of blurting ineffectual statements against the right of the DPRK to defend itself.

Why There are No Mass Killings In People's Korea -special article by Dr Dermot Hudson

The other day in the United States yet another mass killing took place this time at a place called Boulder , Ohio where 10 people were killed by a 21 year old man who walked into a supermarket and opened fire . The week before 8 people were shot dead in Atlanta , Georgia ( in this case 6 East Asian women were killed in what is widely believed to be a racially motivated killing spree) . This is 18 people dead in the space of just over a week . The US is well known for mass killings such as the Columbine school massacre . The highest number killed was 58 at Las Vegas , Nevada in 2017 . In the US a murder occurs every 7 minutes .

Other Western countries are not immune to mass killings for example in the UK there was the Hungerford massacre in 1987 in which 17 people lost their lives , also the Dunblane massacre which also killed 17 people in 1996 ( most of the victims were children ) and the Cumbria massacre in 2010 . In the DPRK mass killings are totally unheard of . Despite having an armed population (under the DPRK’s self-defence policies ) there are no cases in the DPRK of someone with a gun walking into a supermarket , a shop or a restaurant and opening fire on their fellow citizens . It is just unheard of and unthinkable . Of course there are many reasons for mass killings in places like the US , some blame lack of gun control but surely the toxic individualism and lack of respect for both authority and one’s fellow humans must be a very big factor in the causes of mass killings. In People’s Korea such things as mass killings are impossible because everything is based on the collectivist outlook of ‘ One for all and all for one!", which is the outlook on life of the people of the DPRK and shows the true appearance of People’s Korea where all the people help and lead each other forward, and reflects the true nature of socialism. The DPRK is also based on single-hearted unity. It is based on the Juche Idea , the philosophical principle of which is that man is the master . Thus because of the socialist ownership of the means of production which is both underpinned and enhanced by the Juche Idea , people in the DPRK have a high sense of ‘taking ownership’ of ‘stakeholding’ which does not exist in any capitalist country. Moreover politics in the DPRK are based on benevolence and trust , the supreme principle of the party and the state is to improve living standards. The imperialists , the Western countries and their fake human rights lobby attack the DPRK over ‘human rights ‘ but the West is unable to guarantee the right of its people to live and to live without violence and the fear of violence. Why the DPRK was right to sever relations with Malaysia .

On the 19th of March , the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea issued a statement  titled ‘Unfairness Would Not Escape from Stern Judgment of Fairness: DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs  in which the DPRK announced that it sever diplomatic relations with Malaysia because of its ‘ super-large hostile act against the DPRK in subservience to the U.S. pressure.’  By Sunday 21st of March , DPRK diplomats left Malaysia and the DPRK embassy was closed down . DPRK Charge D Affaires  Kim Yu Song read out a statement as he and other diplomats left the Embassy saying that Malaysia had  ‘“committed an unpardonable crime" and was part of a US led conspiracy against the DPRK .

This is the first time since the 1970s that the DPRK has severed diplomatic relations with another country .The DPRK’s foreign policy is based on the concepts of independence , peace and friendship .It has always worked with those countries that are friendly to it and respect its sovereignty even if there are differences in system  and in policies . The DPRK does not try to impose its system on others or interfere in other countries.

Prior to the DPRK’s statement severing relations   , Malaysia  had , on the 17th of March, extradited a DPRK citizen , Mr Mun Chol Myong , to the United States on false charges . Mr Mun had been held in detention in Malaysia for 670 days before he was extradited to the US . Malaysia  produced no actual evidence against him , only a string of false allegations from the US .

   It is a truly despicable and vile act by the Malaysian regime as Mr Mun will not receive a fair trial in the US and worse still because the DPRK and US are technically at war  , he could be treated as an enemy combatant and even executed .

Before Mr Mun’s extradition to the US , the US organised a drinking party for Malaysian officials and they were promised a free weapons delivery by the US.

Malaysia is in fact a neo-colony and a puppet of the US .It is ruled by a corrupt comprador bourgeoisie .

. Malaysia signed agreements on intelligence and counter-terrorism with the US  . In 2014 Malaysia  joined the so-called Profileration Security Initative , a US led effort directed at the DPRK and others.. Malaysia has agreed to having US bases on its soil. The US is the biggest investor in Malaysia. Malaysia is a member of US imperialist controlled bodies such as the IMF, World Bank, APEC and TPP. The US state department website says of Malaysia " Today, Malaysia is a significant regional and global partner for the United States, and the two countries share a diverse and expanding partnership in trade, investment, security, environmental cooperation, and educational and cultural relations."

  Malaysia also has a cosy relations with the south Korean puppets.The Malaysian Prime Minister visited south Korea in 2014 and met south Korean  puppet boss lady Park Geun Hye. Malaysia signed many business deals with the south.In the past Malaysia was regarded by some on the Left  as a fascist comprador neo-colony because it heavily repressed the Malaysian Communist Party and fought a bitter civil war against the communists  with the backing of  US imperialism and British imperialism.

Communist parties are still illegal in Malaysia and it is highly likely that extreme anti-communist ideology permeates the minds of those in authority in Malaysia.            The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK,the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea Study ,the UK Korean Friendship Association and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) today issued a statement denouncing the European Unions ’s(EU) recent imposition of new sanctions on the Demcratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK);

  

According to an answer given by a spokesperson of the DPRK Foreign Ministry on the 23rd of March , the EU designated People’s Korea along with some other countries as a target for new sanctions under the pretext of ‘human rights’ . The EU has imposed sanctions on the DPRK Minister of Public Security , the Minister of State Security and the Central Prosecutor's Office . It constitutes unwarranted interference by the EU in the DPRK’s legal system and is a lever to overthrow the socialist system in People’s Korea.

Quite correctly the DPRK Foreign Ministry has described this as ‘a despicable political provocation aimed at infringing upon its sovereignty and interfering in its internal affairs'  and ‘ a psychotic way of thinking’

We would also like to add our condemnation of the EU for its hostile action against independent and socialist , People’s Korea . There are no human rights violations in the DPRK . Moreover the EU where racism ,discrimination , social inequality , unemployment and homelessness are rife , should not take issue with other countries but first put it is house in order .

 The EU is hated by the people of its own member states  because it is seen as an oppressive bureaucracy . Many member nations of the EU wish to secede .

The EU is totally lacking in independence , it is acting as a poodle of the United States and is simply copying the hostile policy of the US towards the DPRK . The EU should stop acting as a tool of the US and follow an independent policy.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Verbal Message to Raul Castro Ruz

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), sent a verbal message to Raul Castro Ruz, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, to notify the accounts of the 8th Congress of the WPK.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un noted in detail that the 8th Congress of the WPK set forth scientific and realistic struggle lines and strategic and tactical tasks for achieving a fresh innovation in the Party and state affairs, as required by the changed internal and external situations and reality, took practical measures for strengthening the leadership of the Party and consolidating the state and social system and discussed and decided on its policy stand on the bolstering of defence capabilities, the inter-Korean relations and the DPRK-U.S. relations.

He clarified again the will of the WPK to develop the ties of strategic and comradely unity and cooperation with Cuba on the road of struggle for the victory of the socialist cause and launch a dynamic joint struggle against imperialism.

Reaffirming the full support and solidarity of the WPK and the DPRK people with the struggle of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Cuban people to defend the socialist system, he expressed the conviction that the 8th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba which is to be held in April would be a significant occasion to bring about a radical advance in the struggle of the Communist Party of Cuba for further strengthening the party, enhancing its leadership role and building a prosperous socialist state. -0-

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un noted in detail that the 8th Congress of the WPK set forth scientific and realistic struggle lines and strategic and tactical tasks for achieving a fresh innovation in the Party and state affairs, as required by the changed internal and external situations and reality, took practical measures to strengthen the leadership of the Party and consolidate the state and social system, and discussed and decided on its policy stand on the bolstering of defence capabilities, the inter-Korean relations and the DPRK-U.S. relations.
