There has been a lot of hype and hysteria over the annoucment of the Supreme leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea , Marshal KIM JONG UN , that the DPRK was in the final stages of preparation for the test of an Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile. This resulted in a firestorm in the imperialist media , US state dept officials threatened the DPRK with yet more sanctions and the incoming President of the US, one Donald Trump arrogantly but vaguely said it would never happen. Of course Juche Idea and Songun idea followers of the world including the Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK and Juche Idea Study Group of England, warmly applaud these advances in the Juche-orientated self-defence capability of the DPRK !
The DPRK has been subjected to sanctions by the UNSC for testing missiles and in fact even launching non-military civilian research satellites such as the Kwangmyongsong 3.2 and Kwangmyngsong 4. Not only sanctions by the UNSC by "additional " and "independent " sanctions by the US, UK , Japan , EU and south Korea. The DPRK has become the most heavily sanctioned country in the world. When Marshal KIM JONG UN proclaimed that the DPRK ICBM test preparation are nearing completion there were shrieks and howls from Western politicians , UN bureaucrats and the media that it is "illegal " for the DPRK to have an ICBM !
In December India tested the Agni V ICBM and recently Pakistan tested the Babur 3 nuclear missile. Some attention was given this in the media though not much. There was no referral to the UNSC . No hype or hysteria about "illegal ICBMS" etc . A nuclear conflict on the Indian subcontinent between could potentially wipe out hundreds of millions of people and have devastating consequences for the world but there is a virtual silence from those countries that so noisily condemned the DPRK !
Why the extreme hypocrisy of the US imperialists and other imperialists ? Why it is okay for India and Pakistan to test ICBM's yet it is 'illegal' , a crime and something that Donald Trump vacuously says he will make sure will never happen ? I can remember in September 2016 speaking to my guide and she said that she could not understand why some countries were so opposed to the DPRK's space development and tried to prevent it? Indeed why? The answer is basically simple.The US imperialists and international reactionaries primarily oppose the DPRK's nuclear and missile programmes not basically they are a threat to international security and world peace but because the DPRK is a socialist country, in fact nowadays virtually the only socialist country in the world and upholds anti-imperialism, independence and the Juche idea. Surely missile tests by India and Pakistan are equally a threat to peace and security but these tests never run the gauntlet of hostility from US imperialism and its acolytes because these are capitalist countries and also both have relations with the US. It should also be pointed out that the US and other Western countries have carried out many ICBM tests as well as nuclear tests. Therefore their condemnation of the DPRK is doubly and triply hypocritical. It is not motivated by a desire to reduce tension in the world and achieve world peace by its in reality motivated by a deep, pervasive and pathological hatred of the DPRK for being a socialist country and for its unique people centred philosophy of Juche and sturdy independence which underpinned by Songun politics.
When the US and others demand the "complete, verifiable, and irreversible dismantlement" of the DPRK nuclear and missile programmes, what they really mean is the complete, verifiable, and irreversible dismantlement of the DPRK's socialist system , no less , and the restoration of capitalism in the DPRK. No one should be taken in by spin of the imperialists !
