STATEMENT ON THE ELECTION OF COMRADE KIM JONG UN AS THE CHAIRMAN OF THE WORKER'S PARTY OF KOREA AND THE SUCCESSFUL 7TH CONGRESS OF THE WPK: on behalf of the Stoke On Trent Branch of the Juche Idea Study Group of Britain

All the members and supporters of the Stoke On Trent Branch of the Juche Idea Study Group warmly and wholeheartedly support the historic decision to elect Comrade KIM JONG UN as The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, at the 7th Congress of the WPK. The election of Marshal KIM JONG UN to the positon of the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Glorious Workers' Party of Korea, demonstrates to the whole world, the unanimous support, deep respect and trust of the entire membership of the Workers' Party of Korea and all the Korean People.
Chairman KIM JONG UN has been leading the Korean Revolution upon the path of Socialism, Songun and Independence, winning victory after victory. The strategic goal of the WPK Chairman KIM JONG UN is to build a Thriving Socialist Nation on the Korean soil, which is achieving higher living and cultural standards for the Korean People. Under Chairman KIM JONG UN's guidance, the Korean people have been able to enjoy all the material benefits of socialism to the maximum. The policy of simultaneously conducting economic construction and building nuclear forces, as put forward by the WPK Chairman KIM JONG UN, is making the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea into a prosperous and powerful independent country, unaffected by the imperialists' campaigns of vicious sanctions against Socialist Korea.
The Workers' Party of Korea has developed into the leading force, uniting the Korean People, around the red banners of Juche and Songun, due to the tirelessly efforts of Chairman KIM JONG UN. KIM JONG UN was able to formulate the ideology of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, so as to address the need of perfecting socialism in the 21st century. The People-First principle is the bedrock of the all ideological and practical activities of Chairman KIM JONG UN, making the Korean people the masters of everything in the DPRK. Chairman KIM JONG UN has demonstrated his absolute and total loyalty to the revolutionary legacy of the Great President KIM IL SUNG and the Great General Secretary KIM JONG IL, in both his thoughts and actions. The Juche and Songun Revolutions will continue to advance due to Chairman KIM JONG UN, and the WPK made into a monolithic party of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, rallied around the Party Chairman.
Today the DPRK can be regarded, by friends and foes alike, as a powerful nuclear weapons state. The fact that the DPRK is now seen as a military power, self-reliant in defence and attack, is down to the fact that the WPK Chairman KIM JONG UN carried out the Songun Revolutionary Line. Socialist Korea is a responsible nuclear weapons state, both ready for peace and war, protecting the security and well-being of the Korean peninsula, from imperialist aggression. Chairman KIM JONG UN is vigorously aiming to attain the goal of the peaceful, independent reunification of Korea, by the confederation method. It is the stand of the WPK that Korean reunification can be achieved only by the Korean People themselves, in the north, in the south and overseas. It is the firm belief of the WPK Chairman KIM JONG UN, that global independence can be realised through the unity of all anti-imperialist countries, movements and parties, and that the DPRK will cooperate with all nations which respects its sovereignty and dignity.
The 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea under the leadership of Chairman KIM JONG UN has been one of the greatest exercises in democracy. This congress of the WPK is one of the most significant political events of the decade, with all its historic decisions which the congress has made. The election of Comrade KIM JONG UN to the post of the Chairman of the Worker's Party of Korea is celebrated by the Korean People, and by socialists and anti-imperialists around the globe. The Stoke On Trent Branch of the Juche Idea Study Group of Britain deems it as a deep honour and privilege to wish Chairman KIM JONG UN our deepest congratulations. Our Branch calls on progressive people in Britain and other countries to hail the election of Comrade KIM JONG UN and the successful outcomes of the 7th WPK Congress as brilliant landmarks in the struggle for human independence and emancipation. The future of the Worker's Party of Korea and of the Korean People is extremely bright as they only follow the victorious leadership of Chairman KIM JONG UN on the road of revolutionary glory!!
