The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK and Juche Idea Study
Group of England issued the following joint statement on the occasion
of the 50th anniversary of the publication of the work " On Correctly Preserving the National Characteristics of the Korean Language". by the great leader President KIM IL SUNG;
On the 14th of May it will be 50 years since the work " On Correctly Preserving the National Characteristics of the Korean Language"was published by the great leader President KIM IL SUNG in the form of a talk to linguists.
The work gave a powerful impetus to the Juche-oriented development of the Korean language and to the solu the issues
arising in improving the linguistic culture as required by the building
of a highly civilized socialist nation.
In the work President KIM IL SUNG speaks of the need to combat flunkeyism towards big powers particularly as the DPRK is situated between China, Japan and the Soviet Union. One important task in combatting flunkeyism is to develop national language . In the past words from China and Japan had been brought into the Korean language. In south Korea words of American English were brought into the language. President KIM IL SUNG put forward a programme to revive the use of Korean words.
This work is a valuable contribution to the theory of linguistics as well to the building a
Juche -orientated independent national culture free from imperialism and sychophancy to big powers.
