The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) and the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) today issued a statement denouncing the sanctions against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea by the European Union and United Kingdom:
It is really scandalous that both the UK and EU have piled up yet more sanctions on People's Korea on spurious and false pretexts. The UK Treasury Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation issued a notice on the 6th of May (the day of the start of the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea) imposing further sanctions on the DPRK . Amongst other things it said "It is now prohibited to make funds or economic resources available to the Government of North Korea, the Worker’s Party of Korea, or any person acting on their direction or behalf ".  A large number of DPRK companies have been subjected to an asset freeze and sanctions imposed on DPRK banks. Significantly throughout the document except for the title the DPRK is referred to as "North Korea " signifying hostility by the UK authorities .
The European Union also imposed restrictions on DPRK banks and slapped an asset freeze on different DPRK companies.
The EU and UK sanctions are draconian and totally reactionary . After all it is the  independent and sovereign right of the DPRK to take self-defensive measures such as nuclear tests and to carry out space exploration. The sanctions are an anarchonistic measure to stifle the socialist sytem of the DPRK.
Our organisation  strongly denounces the latest round of sanctions by the UK and EU and call for their immediate lifting  ! However we are confident that under the banner of the Juche idea, the banner of self-reliance and the self-development first idea the DPRK will smash the sanctions by continuing to build an independent national economy.
