                   The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) and the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) today issued a joint statement in support of the statement of the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea(DPRK) on the continuing hostile policy of the US towards the DPRK;
  The DPRK has made great efforts for peace on the Korean peninsula by putting forward the proposal at the UN and other forums for the replacement of the old
and anachronistic Korean Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty between the DPRK and the US which would finally end the Korean War. However the proposal has been ignored by the US imperialists.
Worse still far from ending their hostile policy towards the DPRK the US imperialists have actually intensified it in several different ways. The anti-DPRK "human rights " campaign has continued unabated. The US imperialists have imposed yet more sanctions on the DPRK which is already the most sanctioned nation on earth. The US has put the armed forces, munitions and trade organs of the DPRK and their officials and even diplomats of the DPRK on the list of "sanctions.
 Our organisations denounce the latest round of sanctions against the DPRK a sovereign nation. Sanctions are basically an act of war.
 We applaud the stand of the DPRK to increase self-reliance as this is the way to smash the imperialist sanctions and build a socialist paradise . The US imperialists can never destroy the Juche-based independent self-reliant national economy of the DPRK.
 The DPRK Foreign Ministry is correct to warn the US imperialists of the unimaginable consequences that they will suffer should they persist in their hostile policy towards the DPRK. Of course it is never too late for the US to change its ways and end its hostile policy towards the DPRK.
