ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA on the 70th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Agrarian Reform Law of Korea

The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) and the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) today issued a statement on the 70th anniversary of the proclamation of the Agrarian Reform Law in Democratic People's Republic of Korea:
  Today it is 70 years since the day that the  Provisional People's Committee of North Korea proclaimed the law of Agrarian Reform .The law confiscated without compensation the land of landlords with more than 5 hectares of land and distributed it free of charge to landless and land-short farmers. It was probably one of the most radical, revolutionary and thorough going land reform ever carried out in history .
   The Agrarian Reform Law smashed the chains of ossified feudalism which had existed for centuries. It freed the farmers from  the exploitation and oppression of the cruel landlords and made their masters of the land . Indeed more than mere masters of the land , it made them masters of their own and masters of the country.
The Agrarian Reform Law broke the fetters on the rural productive forces and led to a big upsurge in agricultural production.
   Since the enactment of the Agarian Reform Law  the socialist agricultural working people have triumphantly marched along the road of Juche-oriented agricultural development.
  We are sure that greater successes will be made in the future.We applaud the 70th anniversary of  the Agrarian Reform Law.
