London 8th of September Juche 104(2015)The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) and the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) today issued a joint statement in support of the statement issued by the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea;
We fully support the call of the DPRK Foreign Ministry for a complete withdrawal of US troops from south Korea . It is vital for the sake of world peace to get US troops withdrawn from south Korea as the Korean peninsula has become a dangerous flashpoint for a potential conflict owing to the occupation of south Korea by US troops and continual anti-DPRK military exercises staged by the US forces in south Korea. Only recently the situation came very close to actual war .
The US troops in south Korea form part of a US imperialist strategy for dominating the Asia-Pacific region and indeed the whole world . The US bases in south Korea form part of a chain of US bases throughout the world which constitute the American empire . Withdrawing US forces from south Korea will make a big contribution to the struggle for independence throughout the globe.
The DPRK Foreign Ministry correctly points out that the 30th session of the UN
General Assembly called for the pullout of US troops from south Korea. Moreover US troops were supposed to have been withdrawn under the Korean Armistice Agreement of 1953 . 62 years later and the world is still waiting for the US to honour its side of the agrement.
We say that US troops should be withdrawn immediately and the Korean nation reunified on the basis of "By Our Nation Itself ".
