KCSWP Spokesman Denounces U.S. and S. Korean Authorities for Disturbing Int'l Women's Grand March

Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Korean Committee for Solidarity with the World People (KCSWP) Thursday gave an answer to the question put by KCNA as regards the fact that the south Korean authorities desperately disturbed the activities of a delegation of the 2015 international women's grand march for the reunification and peace in Korea.
    He said:
The south Korean conservative group openly obstructed the activities of the delegation, malignantly slandering the march as "pro-north one."
Displeased with the call made by members of the delegation for the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea while visiting Mangyongdae and other places during its stay in Pyongyang, the south Korean authorities let ultra-right conservative organizations and media stage such mean farce aimed to mislead public opinion at home and abroad, terming the march "pro-north event."
Moreover, they complained that remarks made by members of the delegation denouncing the thrice-cursed crimes committed by the U.S. imperialists against humanity during the Korean War "assumed anti-U.S. and pro-north tendency," taken in by the north's strategy towards the south. They went the lengths of asserting that "the delegation had no qualifications to talk about peace and human rights" as it failed to take issue with the non-existent "human rights issue" in the north.
Even they barred the delegation from passing through Panmunjom under the pretext of "disallowance of the UN Command" and allowed instead its travel along the road on the West coast. They hurled ultra-right conservative gangsters into an area near the Military Demarcation Line to stage "counter demonstration," branding it as "an organization praising the north" and "anti-south Korea and anti-U.S. and pro-north body."
This was a blatant challenge to the unanimous aspiration of the women in the world after a peaceful life on the earth without war and ardent desire of all Koreans.
By desperately obstructing the activities of the delegation, the U.S. and the south Korean authorities revealed themselves as the arch criminal disturbing peace and stability of the Korean peninsula and seeking confrontation and war.
The south Korean authorities are employing a sleight of hand to mislead public opinion, creating the impression that they were interested in the "June 15 joint event" and "dialogue". But with no rhetoric can they evade the responsibility for driving the north-south relations into catastrophe.
The U.S. and the south Korean authorities should pay heed to the voices of the world people desirous of peace against war and immediately roll back their anachronistic hostile policy towards the DPRK and halt the moves to escalate the confrontation with the compatriots in the north. -0
