Stop war drills against the DPRK at once!

The U.S. imperialists and south Korean puppet forces kicked off adventurous Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises on March 2 despite strong protest and denunciation at home and abroad.

The exercises involve over three services strategic forces of the US imperialist aggression troops and huge forces of the south Korean puppet army.

Involved there are the U.S. satellite forces including the UK, France, Australia andCanada.

Key Resolve and Foal Eagle which will last till April 24 are dangerous nuclear war drills for invading the DPRK as they are aimed at swiftly hurling  and forward-deploying the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces in contingency on the Korean peninsula, mounting a surprise preemptive attack on it by "combined forces", "liquidating"   the DPRK's headquarters and "occupying  Pyongyang".

Nevertheless, the above-said exercises clearly prove that the claim of the U.S. that the war maneuvers are of "defensive nature" and rhetoric about "annual drills" are mockery of and insult to the international community, at the same time, it is nothing but a smokescreen to conceal their reckless preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK.

The US forces in south Korea, the troops in US main land, Pacific region and Japantake part in the military games annually. The number is on the increase systematically. According to the “OPLAN 5027” 690 000-strong US troops and 2 000 fighters are to be thrown into the Korean Peninsula in contingency.

There are many large or small-scale of military drills in the world, however, there are no military exercises aiming to occupy the capital of a nation. This has only brought to light the aggressive nature of the joint military exercises staged by the US.

On February 24, the All-People Action against War and for Peace held a news conference in front of the US embassy in Seoul to demand immediate cancellation of the large-scale joint military games against north Korea.  

In the news conference, speakers asserted that the south Korean and US authorities have larded the military exercises with the word of “annual defensive drills”, in actuality, it is a war game aiming to occupy north Korea. 

They noted they would stir up public opinion against war by staging a peace action for suspension of the war games.

The Solidarity for Democracy, People's Life, Peaceful Reunification and Sovereignty of south Korea on Feb. 23 noted that amid the joint military drills inter-Korean relations are impossible and the war games inviting a nuclear war and national ruin should be stopped at once

It called for the people to turn out in the drive to stop the war drills, oppose war, to secure peace and defend people’s security. 

They can never evade the blame for driving the north-south relations to a catastrophe and entailing the unpredictable acute situation on the Korean Peninsula.

The US and south Korean trigger-happy forces should stop the war exercise against the DPRK to meet demand of the Korean nation and world peace-loving people desirous of durable peace and security of the Korean Peninsula and the Asian-pacific region.
