The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK) , the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea(BGSJI), the UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA ) ,and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification in Korea (BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement in support of the speech made by respected Marshal KIM JONG UN titled " "Let Us Further Improve Party Work in Line with the Demands of the Period of Fresh Development of Socialist Construction" which given at lecture to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the foundation of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK ) :
As part of the celebrations for the 76th anniversary of the foundation of the Workers Party of Korea respected Marshal KIM JONG UN the general secretary of the Workers Party of Korea made a very important speech title "Let Us Further Improve Party Work in Line with the Demands of the Period of Fresh Development of Socialist Construction " in which he summarised the great achievements of the WPK in party building as well as the achievements made in the past 10 years . Marshal KIM JONG UN also laid down tasks for party work in the coming years which will see a new and fresh upsurge in socialist construction .
Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN correctly says that the WPK has a long history of 76 years as a socialist ruling party . In fact if the history of a party is counted not from when it was founded but from the time that it came to power , then the WPK is the veteran party of the international communist movement .Marshal KIM JONG UN summarieses the great achievements made in party building which centre upon the fact the WPK achieved single hearted unity around itself and the leader . Moreover it paid great attention to guiding the people along the correct path of socialism and Juche as Marshal KIM JONG UN says the WPK ' always given precedence to educating, training and rallying the popular masses, the motive force for the revolution, it could have preserved the true nature of socialism and advanced the Korean revolution in the vortex of troublous history.'
Basically the success of the WPK is due to the Juche idea and the correct party building idea . The WPK has always implemented the people-first principle guided by the precept that ' The People Are My God '. The WPK uniquely defined ' the realization of the popular masses' independence as the essence of the revolutionary struggle and socialist and communist construction' . This is what made the WPK qualitively different from other parties and was an application of the Juche idea to both party building and socialist contruction .
During the past ten years ,in which a new period of revolution emerged , the WPK has been built up more firmly as the general staff of the Korean revolution and has more thoroughly applied the idea of Kimilsungism-Kimjonglism . In particular , as Marshal KIM JONG UN said ,:our Party has built up the firm system and foundations for preserving its character and true nature as the militant general staff leading the revolutionary cause of Juche despite any hardships, the genuine Party serving the people and continuously strengthening its leadership by determinedly carrying forward the Juche-based idea of party building and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il. This is a brilliant success gained in party building for the last ten years'.
Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN sets forth in the speech key tasks for the party in the present revolutionary situation . Firstly ,the work for establishing the monolithic leadership system of the Party Central Committee , secondly to strengthen inner party work , thirdly , to improve and strengthen ideological work .
In particular Party organisations ' need to explain in principle the justice and invincibility of socialist cause, reactionary nature of capitalism and inevitability of its ruin". Moreover the three revolution red flag movement , a mass movement for socialist construction , should be actively encouraged and developed . Ideology is the motive force of socialist contruction . It is very positve that Marshal KIM JONG UN puts so much stress on it .
Marshal KIM JONG UN wisely warns Party officials not to infringe upon the interests of the people .
We strongly applaud the speech of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN '"Let Us Further Improve Party Work in Line with the Demands of the Period of Fresh Development of Socialist Construction' . It is a truly great programme for Party work in which the Juche idea and people-first principle shine through brightly . We are sure that there will be a great upsurge in Party work and socialist construction .
