In demand of dissolution of LKP
The public campaign demanding dissolution of the
Liberty Korea Party is getting brisk in south Korea.
Citizens, angered by the acts of the Liberty Korea
Party going against the public mindset, formed an organization called the
"Citizens Wanting Dissolution of the Liberty Korea Party" and are
staging protest rallies every day before the LKP building from June 16.
They asserted that the LKP is describing people fool;
therefore, the LKP should be dismantled as early as possible, carrying
slogan-boards written “Dissolve the LKP full of evils” and “Dismantle the LKP
running against the candlelight sentiment”.
They would strive hard to disband the LKP which has
been engrossed in abuse of power and graft while squandering taxes extracted
from the people, they stressed.
South Korean websites are awash with articles
demanding dissolution of the LKP.
Citizens in Daegu, a hub of the LKP, held rally in
demand of the dissolution of the LKP in front of the buildings of the Daegu
municipal party and North Gyeongsang provincial party on June 22.
The LKP is the object of liquidation, the LKP is
better to dismantle itself rather than be punished by the public; it is a
minimum consideration of the people for the LKP, they noted.
A civic organization held a news conference in front
of the South Gyeongsang provincial office on June 23. The LKP’s smear campaign
against the north has gone beyond the tolerance limit, the LKP is putting brake
on improvement of inter-Korean ties and stoking the danger of
war on the Korean Peninsula, while hamstringing process of liquidation of
evil forces and a radical social reform, it said at the news conference.
The people of every degree are disillusioned
with the LKP and turning out in the campaign to dissolve the LKP.
The south Korean people’s action to remove the LKP is
on the steady increase as like the candlelight rally which led the impeachment
of Park Geun-hye.
