The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) and the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) today issued a joint statement slamming the latest repressive actions of the Japanese state against CHONGRYON:

We learnt recently that the Japanese prosecution authorities held a trial of the president of the Korean Goods Sales Company and others at the Kyoto district court on Oct. 27 in a desperate bid to bring charges against them. This was a fit up by the Japanese state.
In the end, the prosecution took such fascist action as sentencing the Company president and others to two years in prison. We strongly denounce this injustice.
Basically what the Japanese authorities are doing is state terrorism . The Japanese authorities stand guilty of both state terrorism as well as racism towards non Japanese minorities living within Japan . Japan is one of the biggest racist states in history who put other racists in the shade. CHONGRYON as a dignified organisation of overseas Korean compatriots  has the right to exist , moreover CHONGRYON is the guardian of the rights of ethnic Koreans in Japan. An attack on CHONGRYON is an attack on their rights, a grave violation of human rights for which Japan should be made to answer for .
As CHONGRYON is the overseas citizens organisation of the DPRK and basically the de facto embassy of the DPRK in Japan this is a hostile act against the DPRK , an affront to its sovereignty.
The ongoing repression of CHONGRYON goes to show that Japan is moving towards fascism and is becoming more racist and intolerant .

We demand the the repression of CHONGRYON is halted and those jailed are immediately released !

HANDS OFF CHONGRYON !
