 Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) --
Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, gave field guidance to the Sci-Tech Complex, an index of the WPK's idea of attaching importance to science and technology and the Juche-based architectural art in the 21st century.     After being briefed on the complex in front of a map showing its bird's-eye view, he went round different parts of the complex to learn in detail about its construction and preparations for its operation.
It is a laudable success that the complex has been built into a comprehensive e-library which stores in an overall and systematic way the sci-tech books published in the past and data on the latest sci-tech achievements in our country and advanced sci-tech data from all countries of the world, he said.
He noted that the complex displays the exhibits of various styles in basic and applied sci-tech halls, earthquake experience room, virtual science laboratory and other sectional sci-tech show halls and it is equipped with touch computers, projectors and other various kinds of up-to-date equipment and arranged with sci-tech rooms and reading places so as to help its visitors deeply grasp the principles and methods of science and technology.
It is also admirable that the complex has a nice outdoor sci-tech exhibition consisting of future energy, science games and other districts, he said.
He expressed pleasure over the fact that a model of earth satellite-carrier rocket flying into the sky is installed at the central hall of the complex and the complex has been built as an energy-conserving, green architecture whose lighting and cooling-and-heating system are based on solar, geothermal and other natural energies.
Saying that his heart is filled with confidence that socialist Korea will surely hit the goal of prosperity with inexhaustible strength of the army and people who are ready to remove a mountain and empty sea when the Party is determined to do, Kim Jong Un gave thanks on behalf of the WPK to the officers, officials, builders and volunteers who wonderfully built the Sci-Tech Complex, one more present bestowed by the Party on the people.
He said that the complex, built in an excellent place amid the interest and support of the whole country, is a precious fruition borne by the idea of attaching importance to science and technology of the WPK, which regards the sci-tech development as a major policy of the party and the state and arouses all the servicepersons and civilians to its implementation, and a great event showing the world how strong is the desire and passion of the army and people in the DPRK to become persons well versed in science and technology.
It is not that we built the complex for surplus manpower and materials, he said, adding: Visiting the Ssuk Islet, an islet of science, everyone will know well about the validity and vitality of the policy of the WPK which has been constantly directing big efforts to the development of science and technology, regarding it as a serious affair decisive of the victory in building a thriving nation and a very important work related to the future of the country.
He set forth the tasks and ways for making more thorough preparations for the operation of the Sci-Tech Complex.
Accompanying him were Hwang Pyong So, Pak Pong Ju, Kim Yang Gon, O Su Yong, Jo Yong Won, Kim Yo Jong and Ma Won Chun. -0-
