Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- A national symposium took place at the People's Palace of Culture on July 13 to mark the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
Attending it were Pak Thae Song, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of Party, administrative organs and working people's organizations and information workers in charge of theory from armed forces organs, the fields of science, education, literature and art, media and the preservation of revolutionary relics and Party cadre training institutions.
The symposium heard papers explaining the exploits of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who won a great victory in the past Fatherland Liberation War and achieved one victory after another in the confrontation with the U.S.-led imperialists that has lasted for centuries.
Speakers highly praised the President as an ever-victorious and iron-willed commander who defeated the imperialist aggressor forces with his gifted military wisdom, strategy and tactics and matchless pluck and courage.
They said that the Korean People's Army could defeat the numerical and technical superiority of the enemies with the politico-ideological, strategic and tactical superiority and record the tradition of victory in gold letters in its glorious course as it was guided by the peerless brilliant commander who led the Fatherland Liberation War to a shining victory with his Juche-oriented military idea and outstanding and tested leadership.
They stressed that the DPRK had won the proud victory in every acute military confrontation provoked by the U.S. imperialists as it was led by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the iron-willed commanders.
The ever-victorious history of the DPRK is being firmly carried forward by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the peerlessly illustrious commander, they said, adding that the great historic cause of building the state nuclear force was successfully realized with the successive victories to be specially recorded in the history of the nation, more strikingly displaying the dignity and might of an independent power before the whole world. -0-
