The U.S. finally ignited a war of aggression against the DPRK on June 25, 1950. During the 3-year war, it hurled vast numbers of its armed forces amounting to more than two million, including one third of its ground forces, one fifth of its air force, most of the Pacific Fleet, troops from its 15 satellite countries, south Korean puppet army and Japanese militarists and expended enormous fund of 20 billion US dollars.
The war munition that the U.S. spent in the Korean war totals to 73 million tons which sums 11 times of the munition spent in Pacific War.
But the myth of the "mightiness" of U.S. was exploded by the outstanding military strategic ideology, peerless courage and mettle, extremely adroit and consummate tactics of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, the ever-victorious iron-willed commander and the indomitable spirit of the Korean people who are firmly rallied around the Great Leader.
The U.S. could not but hung the white flag in the war that could be described as the showdown between the rifle and atomic bomb and thus signing on the Korean Armistice Agreement on 27th July, 1953.
Our people won the military and technical advantage of the enemy by the might of spiritual and moral advantage and strategic and tactical advantage and brought about the beginning of a downhill turn for the U.S. imperialism.
After suffering from the defeat in the Korean war, the U.S. could not escape the fate to fall like the setting sun.
Soon we would mark the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Fatherland Liberation War on 27th July. Our people are in full conviction to win victory in the anti-imperialists, anti-U.S. confrontation also in the future while succeeding the soul of the victorious generation of the past.
