The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI), the Korean Friendship Association of the UK (KFA UK) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula (BSCPRKP) issued the following joint statement in support of the press statement of comrade Kang Sun Nam, minister of National Defence of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) that was made on the 20th of July;
Various ill-boding confrontational and aggressive moves by the US and south Korea are evident and are increasing. A few days ago the USS Kentucky, a US nuclear submarine arrived at Pusan port of south Korea. The US is openly advertising the deployment of US nuclear strategic assets in south Korea and openly threatening the DPRK. The DPRK has been designated the target of a US nuclear first strike and US President Biden talked about the 'end of whatever regime'
In his statement, comrade Kang Sun Nam the DPRK Minister of National Defence says that "As the U.S. and the "ROK" gangsters have gone beyond the "red line" in their military hysteria, now is the time for the DPRK to make clear once again its corresponding action choice and response direction."
Given that the security situation on the Korean peninsula is deteriorating rapidly due to the moves of the US, the DPRK is compelled to take measures to defend itself and deter war. Comrade Kang Sun Nam makes due reference to the DPRK Law on Nuclear Forces that was enacted in September 2022 which includes provision for taking preemptive action to forestall a nuclear attack on the DPRK. The US is creating a very dangerous situation in which a nuclear war could break out. The Biden regime is sleepwalking into a catastrophic conflict and needs to be aware of the dangers that it is creating.
We support the warning given by the DPRK and call for the US to withdraw its nuclear weapons and troops from Korean soil before it is too late.
