The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI), the Korean Friendship Association of the UK (KFA UK) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula (BSCPRKP) issued the following joint statement in support of the excellent press statement of comrade Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee (CC) of the Workers Party of Korea (WPK) that was issued on the 17th of July ;
In her statement of the 17th of July, comrade Kim Yo Jong vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea refuted the phoney offers from the US of 'dialogue ' and gave an extremely detailed and in-depth analysis of the so-called 'proposals ' from the US which amount to nothing but empty and meaningless words. Comrade Kim Yo Jong points out " The present situation in the Korean peninsula has reached such a phase that the possibility of an actual armed conflict and even the outbreak of a nuclear war is debated, going far beyond the phase of acute confrontation between the DPRK and the U.S. created in 2017"
The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK ) has actually since the 1990s held dialogues with the US but without any result. It just went nowhere.
If talks were held between the DPRK and the US, the US would put forward the hackneyed and cliched concept of "Complete, Verifiable and Irreversible Denuclearization " of the DPRK. Of course, this is a code word for overthrowing the socialist system of the DPRK and the colonization of the DPRK by American imperialism. Comrade Kim Yo Jong states that 'denuclearisation ' is a dead word. It is a good thing that the DPRK is not fooled by the empty promises of the US imperialists as in the past countries like the Soviet Union and Libya made the mistake of believing the honeyed talk of the US imperialists.
Indeed comrade Kim Yo Jong analyses the various tricks of the US such as temporarily halting military exercises. Various measures of the US can be implemented one day but reversed the next day. The DPRK is fully aware of this.
Instead of bargaining away the security of its homeland, the DPRK is instead evolving a long-term strategy against US imperialism and the south Korean puppets which will involve overwhelming deterrence.
The statement of comrade Kim Yo Jong is an impressive statement which shows the astute and shrewd approach of the DPRK to the question of dealings with the US. It shows that the DPRK is taking a most correct stand based on independence and resolute defence of the DPRK's interests as well as a revolutionary anti-imperialist stand.
The US should stop fooling about on the Korean peninsula and take its dirty hands off the DPRK!
