Congratulatory message of WPK CC to entire people and service personnel

 The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea sent a congratulatory message to the entire people and service personnel of the People's Army on the 27th under the title "To the Entire People and Officers and Men of the People's Army Who Made an Immortal Contribution to Glorifying the Tradition of Victory of Heroic Korea".

  The congratulatory message said:

  The 70th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War is a revolutionary holiday of the great victors who have recorded only myths of heroism and mightiness in the blue and red flag of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea for 70 years under the guidance of the prominent leaders of the revolution; it is a significant occasion of demonstrating the unshakable will of the Korean people to continue the sacred 70 years of struggle for independence against imperialism and for a rich country with a strong army as the years of glory, dignity and prosperity forever.

  The 70 years from the V-Day July 27 is a proud course that put the power and prestige of the DPRK on the highest plane by firmly defending and constantly sublimating the honour and tradition of war victory in the 1950s and brought about an epochal change in all fields of nation building.

  It is the most brilliant summary of the 70-year-long history of struggle that firmly carried on the idea of pioneering the Korean revolution to a new century for nearly 100 years despite the high-handed and outrageous political and diplomatic pressure and persistent military suffocation offensives of the hostile forces and clearly convinced the world of the scientific accuracy and immutability of our idea and cause as an undeniable truth.

  The war veterans who are masters of the great years reliably supported our cause as the main force and core of the postwar rehabilitation and socialist construction in the same spirit and manner they had displayed to defend the country at the cost of their blood, and are encouraging the rising generations to firmly carry them forward while remaining loyal to the duty of revolutionary forerunners even in the old age of their life.

  Vividly recorded in the history of development of the DPRK is the boundless sincerity of many known and unknown people of merits and meritorious persons who loved the motherland more ardently in difficult times and devoted all their precious things to build up the strength of the state and lay a foundation for its prosperity.

  Today the DPRK is confidently advancing toward the grand objective of the overall development of socialist construction, resolutely controlling and smashing the war moves of the US imperialists with the strongest military capability and absolute strength that no force can match.

  Thanks to the great strength of loyalty and patriotism of the entire people, the strategic resource that cannot be bartered for anything, the advance of our state will be further accelerated without letup and the name and flag of our country shine forever as a symbol of independence, justice and socialist victory, the message added.
