Eleven years of Victory and Glory

On July 17, 2012, eleven years ago, our people conferred on respected Comrade Kim Jong Un the title of Marshal of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Since then, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un has exalted our country into the status of a world power and further developed it into a country filled with happy laughter of the people – all in a short span of time of eleven years that may as well be termed one fleeting moment in the long history of a country and a nation.

During those days, he regarded enhancement of national defense capabilities as a top national priority as it is an undertaking to protect our people’s destiny.

And the highest criteria for all of his thinking and activities were the people’s interests and happiness.

It is the noble idea of his that military power signifies national power and that the prosperity of the fatherland and happiness of the people can be ensured only when the military power is strengthened in every way.

Since the adoption of the new strategic line of simultaneously promoting the construction of the economy and the up-building of nuclear forces at the historic March 2013 Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Party, he has made undying devotion to enhancing strong national defense capabilities.

Thanks to his round-the-clock arduous journey for the great dignity and honor of the fatherland and people, our country has become the military power of the first rank, equipped with powerful physical means of self-defense.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un put an end to the era where big powers willfully attempted to bargain over the destiny of our country and nation. He also saw to it that our people enjoy happiness and comfort throughout generations in a dignified and strong country, free from the calamities of a war.

These indeed constitute the immortal feats performed by respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for our state and people.

The people’s laughter is the very standard for assessing the national power and a powerful socialist state precisely means a country that resounds with people’s happy laughter - this is the constant view held by respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

With this view in mind, he is devoting his heart and soul to making our people the happiest and the most dignified in the world.

As respected Comrade Kim Jong Un identifies the essence of the national power as the people’s laughter, he has embarked on the long journey of devotion to people’s happiness and promotion of their interests, always acquainting himself with people’s likes and dislikes as well as with their conveniences and inconveniences.

Along with his journey of selfless devotion to people, miracles are being performed - inauguration of Mirim Riding Club, Yangdok Hot Spa Resort and other up-to-date cultural resorts; consecutive construction of luxury downtown quarters like Mirae Scientists Street, Ryomyong Street and terraced residential district on the bank of the River Pothong, followed by ceaseless housewarming parties year after year; and now comes the transformation of farm villages across the country into modern farming towns.

A great man begets a powerful country and great people.

This is the truth learned by our people through their practical experiences along the eleven-year-long journey adorned with victories and glories, holding in high esteem respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Our people, in the future too, will firmly unite around respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, entrusting all their destiny and future to him, and will ultimately accomplish the great cause of a prosperous nation with an invincible army.
