 The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK) ,British Group for the Study of the  Juche Idea(BGSJ) , the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula (BSCPRKP)today issued a statement supporting the statement of comrade  Kwon Jong Gun, director general of the Department of U.S. Affairs of the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK,;

   Recently  Comrade Kwon Jong Gun, director general of the Department of U.S. Affairs of the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK concerning US policy towards the DPRK and the recent speech of US president Biden in the US Congress. Biden in his speech described the DPRK as  a "serious threat" to US security and talked about 'diplomacy ' and 'deterrence '. Later the US announced that it had completed a review of policy towards the DPRK .

 Despite the US policy review being trumpeted it in fact contained nothing new or original . Essentially Biden's speech attacking the DPRK reflected the content of the review .

 What Biden's speech and the US policy review showed is that the anti-DPRK hostile policy of the US which has been in place for more than 70 years will continue Denuclearisation' of the DPRK is a code word for regime change in the DPRK  the overthrow of the socialist system . As  the statement of  comrade Kwon Jong Gun points out 'The U.S.-claimed "diplomacy" is a spurious signboard for covering up its hostile acts, and "deterrence" touted by it is just a means for posing nuclear threats to the DPRK.

The anti-DPRK nuclear war exercises held by the U.S. soon after the inauguration of the new administration proved in action who really threatens whom on the Korean peninsula and clearly showed that one must build a powerful deterrence to counter the US'.

  We support the just stand of the DPRK to build a powerful deterrence to counter the US . This is the independent and sovereign right of the DPRK . The US is making a big mistake by carrying on with old and discredited policies .

If the US really wants to make a fresh start in relations with the DPRK it should completely  and irreversibly end of the US hostile policy towards the DPRK.
