The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK),the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE),the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the UK Preparatory Committee For the 2017 Gathering to Praise the Great Persons Born of Mt Paektu issued a statement in support of the statement issued by the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) concerning the imposition of sanctions on the DPRK by the UN Security Council:
The UN Security Council adopted what is described as the 'most strict ' and 'most severe' sanctions on the DPRK in connection with the 5th nuclear test of the DPRK on the 9th of September. The DPRK  is already the most sanctioned nation on earth. The further imposition of sanctions by the UNSC at the behest of the US Imperialists is a declaration of economic war and attempt to strangle the socialist system of the DPKR .
As is well known to the world the DPRK's nuclear and missile tests are simply self-defensive measures to cope with the increased US threat to the DPRK. Moreover the permanent members of the UNSC have carried out nuclear tests including the US which has carried out over a 1,000 nuclear tests.
The UNSC has degenerated into a most corrupt organisation that functions as a marionette of US imperialism. We say shame on those countries who sided with US imperialism on the UNSC and voted for sanctions on the DPRK .
We support the DPRK's righteous rejection of the sanctions which are clearly another case of the UNSC exceeded its authority.
We support the DPRK's right to self-defence and the counter-measures it will take against the
UNSC sanctions
