Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, in the speech at the military parade held in Pyongyang in October 2020 celebrating the 75th anniversary of its founding, said as follows:
“Our people, however, have always believed in and fully trusted me, and supported every one of my plans and decisions.
“Even though more suffering may lie ahead, our people’s trust in me and our Party remains absolute and steadfast.
“Their ardent, sincere trust and encouragement is my most valuable asset, which cannot be bartered for fame or millions of tons of gold; they are also a source of inexhaustible strength which motivates me to have no fear and recognize no impossibility.”
His speech is truly meaningful in view of today’s world where the general symbol of “strength” is wealth or power.
Kim Jong Un’s politics is based on people-first principle.
It is the inexhaustible power of the people that works a miracle, and nothing is impossible if one respects the people as in heaven and relies on their strength–this is his political creed.
The politics prioritizing and relying on the people begets an incredible strength.
