In demand of strict punishment
On November 30, the Gwngju District Court sentenced Chun Doo-hwan guilty. Chun brought disgrace upon Rev. late Cho Bi-o who witnessed machine-gunning from a helicopter of the martial law force in May 1980. Chun claimed that there is no strafing at the May 18 popular resistance, Rev. Cho’s evidence is a distorted assertion and Cho spread a series of cock-and-bull stories. The court declared the machine-gunning at the uprisers undeniable historical fact. Civil organizations held a rally outside the Gwangju district Court when the trial is underway. They strongly demanded Chun, who is denying his crimes, to stand trial of history.
  The spirit of fallen resistant cry out for arrest of Chun  Chun should make an apology to the fallen uprisers
