Humiliating Negotiation

 

Of late, the US agreed to return twelve US military bases to south Korea at the 201st joint commission of the SOFA.

The south Korean authorities decided to pay expenses for environmental purification in the US military bases at their own charge.

Civil organization of different strata strongly criticized that the south Korean authorities took over contaminated four military bases in 2019 and twelve bases in this time without getting expenses for purification of polluted bases from the US.

The south Korean authorities claim that they take over the contaminated military bases first and call the US to task for the pollution afterwards, the environmental pollution is serious in the military bases, however, the south Korean authorities have made concession, they are consistent with deception of the public, the organizations stated. They demanded nullification of the negotiation for return of the US military bases.

The south Korean authorities’ donation of fabulous amount money to the US under the pretext of the upkeep for the US troops in south Korea and payment for purification of the polluted military bases show that south Korea is subject to the US.
