Soon we would mark the 29th anniversary of electing the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il to the high esteem of Supreme Commander of the KPA.
Having the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il on 24th Dec. Juche 80 (1991) was historic event for securing the solid foundation in emerging the Revolutionary cause of Juche to Victory.
Every year when we greet this auspicious day, our people recall in deep emotion the patriotic way that Comrade Kim Jong Il had gone while defending the fate of the country and the people by giving hard blow to the isolation and stifle policy of the allied forces of imperialists during the "Arduous March" and "Forced March" and devoting for the development of national defense industry.
It was thanks to we had this day that our country could become Socialist fortress by defending its sovereignty and dignity in the hardship with the vicious blockade and isolation maneuvers of the hostile forces and that our people could become brave and strong people by turning the wheels of the great history of self-development and self-prosper.
The Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il developed the revolutionary armed force into the politico-ideological power and strategic power under the condition of direct confrontation with the imperialists proud of "military and technological superiority". He also put foremost importance to the development of the national defense industry with the firm conviction that, only by the constant improvement of military equipments as required by the modern war, we could guarantee the safety of the country and the victorious emerge of the revolution.
Under the leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Il who made devotional and tireless effort for the building the Juche-oriented and modernized national defense industry, we could develop the defense industry into powerful one that was able to produce any kinds of advanced equipments and our revolutionary armed force could be strengthened into invincible powerful army equiped with modern attack and defense means.
As you know well, the fact that the strategic position of our Republic is being raised day by day and the national defense power is being consolidated by the recent and series of new birth of Juche weapons, vividly proves how strong the power of national defense industry secured by Comrade Kim Jong Il is.
As we had the patriotic inheritance by the Great General, we could repel all the vicious maneuvers of the hostile forces to stamp out our right for independence, life and development and could advance along its own path.
By lack of its own power and strength, our country could not but had to be forced to suffer the fate of colonial state of the imperialists. Today Comrade Kim Jong Il raised the position of our country into a recognized military power. His revolutionary exploit will be everlasting.
Our people pays deepest respect to the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il who had accomplished immortal exploits in the history of building the revolutionary armed force and strive for the 80-day campaign towards the 8th Congress of the WPK in high spirits to complete to the end the revolutionary cause of Mt. Paektu under the leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Il.
As we have Comrade Kim Jong Un who heads the struggle for the victory of revolutionary cause of Juche in iron-will conviction and bold spirit, we have prosperous and promising future.
