9 years ago on the 30th of December dear respected comrade KIM JONG UN was elected as supreme commander of the Korean People’s Army , by the Political Bureau of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), the vanguard party of the Korean working people and supreme general staff of the Korean revolution . The decision reflected not only the trust and support of the Korean people and party for comrade KIM JONG UN but the will of the Korean people to continue along the road charted by great comrades KIM IL SUNG and KIM JONG IL , the road of independence , Juche and socialism .
Marshal KIM JONG UN had previously been elected as vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers Party of Korea by the 3rd Conference of the WPK held in September 2010 . Comrade KIM JONG UN was well versed in military arts having studied at KIM IL SUNG Military University where he was the secretary of the Party organisation at the university . During his time at the university he wrote a thesis on the Juche-based tactics of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG during the Fatherland Liberation .
Becoming the Supreme Commander of the Korean People’ Army(KPA) placed comrade KIM JONG UN at the head of the revolutionary armed forces of Juche Korea . Moreover , the DPRK stands on the frontline between socialism and imperialism . Thus comrade KIM JONG UN assumed a heavy responsibility for commanding the work of defending Juche socialism and the independence of Juche Korea, the outpost of world socialism . The US led hostile forces were (and still are ) intent on destroying what they see as the ‘last bastion of hardline communism ‘ (meaning that it is a true socialist country that adheres to class and revolutionary principles) .
At the time when Marshal KIM JONG UN became Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army the imperialists were prancing around arrogantly , drunk with their ‘victory ‘ in Libya in which the US and NATO had overthrown by military force the independent , anti-imperialist regime of Col Gadhafi and murdered him . The imperialists hoped to do the same in Korea .
Marshal KIM JONG UN made it clear that he intended to follow the road of the great generals of Mt Paektu , comrades KIM IL SUNG and KIM JONG IL by visiting the historic Seoul Ryu Kyong Su no 105 Tank division of the Korean People’s Army on the 1st of January 2012 . This is the KPA army unit that comrade KIM JONG IL began his Songun revolutionary leadership on the 25th of August 1960,it was also the first unit of the KPA to enter Seoul in June 1950 when the victorious KPA liberated south Korea . Also in his speech to the massive military parade on April 15 2012 , to mark the 100th anniversary of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG and the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the KPA , Marshal KIM JONG UN declared that ‘the permanent strategy of our revolution and its final victory lie in going straight along the road of independence, the road of Songun, the road of socialism, indicated by President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il’. Thus there would be no turning back from the revolutionary path mapped out by the great leaders comrades KIM IL SUNG and KIM JONG IL .
As supreme commander of the Korean People’s Army, respected Marshal KIM JONG UN actively led the work of defending the Juche-based , people-centred socialism of Juche Korea . He declared that “We will never remain onlookers to the enemy’s desperate moves for aggression; we will do all we can to defend the destiny of the country and nation.
It is a truth confirmed by history that nobody in the world can check the advance of a people who have turned out for their cause of justice.”
The US imperialists and other reactionaries ran wild to put pressure on and stifle Juche Korea . They insanely took issue with the DPRK’s launch of a civilian research satellite ( which the DPRK is entitled to do so under international law ) and imposed sanctions on the DPRK whilst at the same time holding intensely aggressive and provocative military exercises with their south Korean puppets .Dear Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN immediately called a meeting of the KPA Supreme Command on March 29th 2013 and drew up an operational plan to counter the provocations of the US imperialists and defend independence , peace and security . Marshal KIM JONG UN also put forward the brilliant Juche-based revolutionary line of building the economy and nuclear force in parallel at the March 2013 plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea .
In August 2015 a tense situation was created by the south Korean puppets and their US masters but thanks to the resolve of supreme commander Marshal KIM JONG UN who placed the country into a semi-war state , the provokers were foiled .
Under the leadership of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN the self-defence capabilities have been built up at an astonishing rate . The DPRK has crossed the nuclear finishing line becoming a socialist nuclear power of Juche with ICBM capabilities . At the 10th of October military parade to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the glorious Workers Party of Korea the DPRK unveiled its latest ICBMs to the wonder of the world .
The 9 years of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN’s supreme commandership of the Korean People’s Army have seen great victories . Thanks to the leadership and commanding art of Marshal KIM JONG UN the independence of Juche Korea and Juche-based socialism has been defended with honour.
