Unremitting Struggle

South Korean people’s action against ongoing deployment of THAAD by the US and south Korean belligerent forces is rising to its floodmark.
On April 21, civic bodies including the Seongju Committee for Struggle against THAAD Deployment and Gimcheon Citizens Measure Committee against THAAD Deployment sniped at the south Korean authorities that agreed to offer the Seongju Golf Course to the US.
They strongly urged the south Korean authorities to stop THAAD deployment, adding that they would carry on action to implement it.
The People's Emergency Action for Resignation of the Park Geun-hye Regime called a press conference at the Gwanghwamun Plaza in Seoul on April 26 at which it denounced the US and Korean authorities’ move to deploy THAAD against the public mindset and demanded immediate withdrawal of illegal introduction of THAAD.
The outgoing government is deploying THAAD inviting war danger and disturbing peace in camera; it said and declared that it would launch action together with the people to remove Park Geun-hye’s deep-rooted evil.
The south Korean authorities deployed THAAD in Seongju on a sudden by dispatching ten thousand policemen of eighty companies in Seongju on April 26 despite the strong protest by the public.
More than two hundred people including inhabitants of Gimcheon, Seongju and religious men tussled with the riot policemen, chanting slogans “Get out, the US-version police” and “No THAAD”.

The riot policemen beat twelve people black and blue and broke ribs of aged persons in their 80s with their shields with the result that they were taken to a hospital.
