World-historic Example

 



 


Seventy-five years have passed since the Korean people were liberated from the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists thanks to the victory in the anti-Japanese armed struggle led by President Kim Il Sung.


On August 15, 1945, President Kim Il Sung achieved historic national liberation by leading a bloody war against Japanese invaders. The national liberation put an end to the history of the Japanese colonial rule and was a great event in shaping the destiny of the nation and in bringing about a fundamental change in the history of the national liberation struggle in colonial countries.


Embarking on the road of national liberation in his early years, he led the arduous anti-Japanese war unprecedented in history of world war to victory on the strength of the Korean nation itself.


 President Kim Il Sung is the anti-Japanese legendary hero who set an world-historic example of the national liberation war in colonial countries.


The anti-Japanese revolutionary war led by him proved that no force can check the people strong in the sense of independence and united people and it is possible to shatter the imperialists' counter-revolutionary offensive with the revolutionary one.


He put forth the unique idea of achieving the national liberation by its own efforts to indicate the way for national liberation struggle to be followed by the people of colonial countries.


He advanced the idea that the united national strength should stand up against the aggressors who put down the national liberation struggle by force of arms to greatly encourage the liberation struggle of people in the colonial countries.


He propounded the idea of defeating the aggressors on the strength of its own revolutionary forces with guerilla warfare and nationwide resistance. He opened up a fresh era of national liberation war by rousing the Korean people to the anti-Japanese war.


President Kim Il Sung is the gifted military strategist and iron-willed brilliant commander who achieved the historic cause of national liberation and set an example of the national liberation war in colonial countries by waging a nationwide resistance under the banner of independence and self-development.
