The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK) , the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE), the UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA ) ,and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula (BSCPRKP) issued the following joint statement in support in the statement of the DPRK History made on the 9th of August ;
Tok Island is an island of the coast of south Korea and it the inalienable territory of the Korean nation. However,recently the Japanese authorities have ordered schools from 2019 to teach the students that Tok Island belongs to Japan.
The DPRK History Society rightly castigates this as being a "shameless distortion of history and a gangster-like move to grab the territory" .We fully agree with this .Indeed this time the mad Japanese reactionaries really have gone too far.
Historically Tok Island has always been part of Korea . This was even recognised by past feudal governments of Japan. Japan is resorting to tricks to steal territory from Korea,
As the DPRK History says "Japan's claim to "dominium over Tok Island" is, in the final analysis, a move to revive militarism to legalize and justify the Japanese imperialists' occupation of the territory and an unpardonable move against history."
We demand Japan renounces its so-called claim to Tok Island and drops the plan to teach students what is historical falsehood. Japan should stop trying to seize parts of Korean territory !
