Juche is a Korean word of two syllables , Ju -which means master and che-which means body or one's self . So it has a simple but profound meaning , master of one's self . It was an idea that was authored by the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG to meet the needs of the Korean people and the Korean revolution . It is a weapon that enabled the Korean people to reject both imperialism and big power chauvinism . Basically Juche enabled the Korean people to build socialism and to create a country that in the words of ex British premier John Major has 'undiluted sovereignty ' .
The Juche idea not only reflected the needs and aspirations of the Korean people but also arose as the idea of the new age of independence in which the oppressed peoples had emerged as masters of their destiny.
The Juche Idea is a powerful tool for independence and liberation , a tool for empowerment.
As the late director general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea Dr Vishwanath used to say all the time , "Study the Juche Idea , it costs nothing but pays in plenty "
