I convey my heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Dermot Hudson honorable Secretary General of ICCSS for his outstanding affords to continue the best worth full support to enhance the study of Immortal Global Songun study.
The Justice and reality of the Juche Idea as Immortal banner of human independence cause and Importance of Global Songun Study to enhance Global Independence is the basically demand for independence and it is the demand of a social being to live and develop as master of the world and one’s own destiny free from all fetters and subordinations.Since man lives and conducts activities in the world, independence is expressed in detail in the fact that man demands independence to live as master of nature, society and oneself and wages struggle for its realization.
Man’s demand for independence to live as master of nature is expressed in getting rid of all fetters and subordinations of nature to transform them into conditions favorable for his existence and development, the abundant material source of living. Demand for independence to live as master of society is expressed in getting rid of all social fetters and becoming an equal master of the state and society, thus living and developing while exercising fully the dignity and rights of a social being. Demand for independence to live as master of oneself is expressed in getting rid of fetters of old, reactionary idea and culture to live and develop as a being more powerful in mental and physical way. Content and level of demand for independence differs according
to stages of specific historical development. However, demand for independence is made inevitably and permanently with existence of man, and keeps developing into a higher stage not remaining on one stage. Man’s independence is expressed in raising demand for independence and struggling for realizing it. As demand for independence is realized fully, man can further strengthen his position as master of the world and himself.
The Juche idea elucidated that the consciousness of independence plays the decisive role in socio-historical movement, the revolutionary movement. Chairman Kim Jong Il said; “The consciousness of independence plays the decisive role in the masses’ revolutionary movement for independence.”
Consciousness of independence is awareness as the master of one’s own destinyand intention to shape his destiny on his own. That the consciousness of independence plays the decisive role in socio-historical movement, the revolutionary movement implies that the consciousness of independence is the decisive factor that determines the role of the people in socio-historical movement, the revolutionary movement. Consciousness of independence enables people to have correct class position and attitude and struggle for victory in the revolution .Ideological consciousness determines class character of behavior of the people who take part in the revolutionary movement.
How actively they take part in revolutionary struggle depends on their class position and attitude. Their class position and attitude are determined by class-consciousness. Their activities, of course, are based on and restricted by socio-class status. However, socio-class status gives influence on people’s behavior by ideological consciousness. Which class interests the people protect in the class society is relied on which class ideology they have. People can defend correct class stand and struggle for victory in the revolution only when they have the consciousness of independence. The consciousness of independence enables people to display strong will and fighting spirit in the revolutionary movement.
How strong will and power they display in the arduous and complex revolutionary movement of transforming nature and society is dependent on their idea. Only the man who arms himself thoroughly with consciousness of independence can take staunch stand and attitude in the revolution and construction and struggle to the end braving all trials and difficulties by actively taking part in the revolution with strong will. The masses have unlimited revolutionary ability, but they cannot display it to the full if they are not awakened ideologically. The unawaken masses cannot rise up in the revolutionary struggle and successfully transform nature and society in keeping with their demands even though they suffer from exploitation and oppression. Only the masses who are aware of class interests can display their revolutionary capability and mental strength to the maximum and guarantee victory in the revolution.
Importance of Global Songun Study to enhance Global Independence is proven from A Piece of Kim Il Sung's Histor-Profound Internationalism (written by Polish friends and the DPRK Embassy in Poland)
ㅡ after the end of World War II in 1945, the army of the Chinese Nationalist Party under the command of Chiang Kai-shek launched a massive offensive against Mao Zedong's communist forces. Mao Zedong's army lost all territories and was pushed to the border with Korea and China. The Soviet Union, which recognized the Chiang Kai-shek government as the official
government of China, refused to support Mao Tsetung. Mao Zedong's special envoy rushed to Pyongyang and asked President Kim Il Sung for help. In addition to 100,000 weapons recovered from the capitulated Japanese army, President Kim Il Sung dispatched competent military commanders, anti-Japanese guerrillas and tens of thousands of young Koreans to Mao Zedong. At the time, it was a huge support, considering the liberation of Korea that took place only a few months back, and it came as a surprise not only to Kim Il Sung's advisers but also to the Soviet military and administrative authorities stationed in the northern part of Korea.
A new unit was set up with young Koreans turned into the main offensive force, and a massive counterattack by Mao Zedong's army began. Chinese historians estimate that more than 250,000 Korean youth were killed in the 1945-1949 Chinese Civil War. Mao Zedong later said that the red colour of the Chinese flag was also stained with the blood of Koreans. The decision to send the People's Volunteer Army of China during the Korean War in October 1950 was a response to the rescue of the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese Revolution.
ㅡ At the end of August 1967, Pyongyang was flooded with great water. President Kim Il Sung directly addressed the issues of safety and the protection of the livelihoods of citizens at the site of the flood. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese ambassador to Pyongyang met with President Kim Il Sung and asked about the millions of clothes that the DPRK had promised.
In the spring of 1967, Pyongyang promised millions of clothes for the victims of the Vietnam War. Politicians close to President Kim Il Sung believed that the production of clothing for Vietnam could inevitably be delayed, just as the Pyongyang Textile Factory that was supposed to produce them had been flooded. However, President Kim Il Sung said Koreans should help ordinary Vietnamese suffering from the war. The first thing Pyongyang Textile Factory produced after removing the flood damage was fabric for the Vietnamese.
ㅡ President Kim Il Sung first met Norodom Sihanouk, King of Cambodia in 1965. Back then, Kim Il Sung highly appreciated his independent political views. In 1970, Norodom emigrated to the People's Republic of China after the coup in Cambodia. But Kim Il Sung still had a good relationship with him.
Many foreign politicians, friends of Kim Il Sung, repeatedly tried to convince him to sever relations with Norodom, who was losing everything politically.
President Kim Il Sung replied that a man must respect the loyalty and conscience of his friends. He even had his house built in Pyongyang, where Norodom and his family lived for 20 years.
After regaining power again by Norodom in 1991. Kim Il Sung's friends asked him in great surprise how he had predicted the future of his return to the centre of politics.
Then Kim Il Sung replied that he has to help people when they are in trouble, this is a real human face, but also that he is surprised by his return to power. Norodom never used official words when addressing Kim Il Sung. He just called him brother. After Kim Il Sung's death, he continued his relationship with Kim Jong Il.
ICCSS gives its all value to welcome and salutes to The Workers' Party of Korea Publishing House brought out Vol. 110 of a collection of memoirs "Among the People" on the occasion of the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
The book has 18 memoirs on the wise leadership and noble personality of Kim Il Sung as a great man who provided eternal foundations for the victorious advance of socialist Korea and happiness of all generations to come with his ardent love for and devotion to the country and the people all his life.
Contained in it is a historic fact that the President guided photographers to take many pictures of
the working people out in building an independent and prosperous new Korea so as to encourage them in their struggle for nation building.
There is memoir dealing with the immortal exploits of the President who came out to the forefront line during the Fatherland Liberation War to inspire the civilians and servicepersons with the confidence in victory and lead them to war victory.
A memoir tells about the fact that the President implanted the spirit of self-reliance deeper in the mind of officials, workers and technicians during the postwar Chollima upswing.
There are also memoirs telling about the devoted efforts of the President who trained the Korean women, who had been subject to humiliation and insult in the past, into heroes and officials and had dedicated his all to the agricultural development of the country till the last moments of his great life.
Besides, the book carries memoirs dealing with the noble personality of the President as a great man who made a ceaseless journey of field guidance to provide the people with affluent and highly-civilized life. And contained in it are memoirs on the historic facts telling about his extraordinary leadership traits.
This day of birth of Respected President KIM IL SUNG is cordial of world Proletariat due to its significance of Global Impendence that’s foundation will be the Songun Internationale .
