Pyongyang, April 18 (KCNA) -- An internet stage was opened on April 12 to celebrate the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, the Day of the Sun.
A special website for the stage is divided into several sections under the title of "Kim Il Sung, eternal sun of humankind" against the background of a picture of his birthplace at Mangyongdae.
Displayed on "Photos in celebration of Day of Sun" are the photos dealing with the undying achievements the President made in accomplishing the cause of global independence.
There are also pictures showing the gifts, orders, medals and titles of honor he received from party and state leaders and personages of different circles in many countries.
"Platform in congratulation of Day of Sun" shows pictures of floral baskets sent by the Organizing Committee for the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, international democratic organizations, organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people in different countries to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
Posted on it were also letters and remarks, speeches in congratulation of the opening of the internet stage, videos of foreigners singing and reciting self-created songs and poems in praise of the President and photos and videos dealing with the celebrations of the Day of the Sun held in different countries.
"Reverence for Great Person" carries articles of foreign personages, who had the honor of being received by the President, and programs introducing the 32nd April Spring Friendship Art Festival and the Fifth International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu.
A section titled "For just cause of Korean people" shows photos and programs dealing with the worldwide solidarity events in support of the Korean people's struggle for socialist construction and peace and security of the Korean Peninsula.
Present at the opening ceremony were co-chairpersons of the Organizing committee for the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, the chairperson of the Korean Friendship Association and personages from Pakistan, the Philippines, Algeria, Egypt, Italy, Britain, Peru, Venezuela and other countries.
Speeches and a briefing on the celebration stage were given there.
Posted on its special website were articles representing the impressions of foreign figures who had been received by the President.
Also posted were speeches and letters and videos in congratulation of the opening of the celebration stage.
A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the opening ceremony. -0-
