Official Statement of Organizing Committee of International Literary Works Prize Contest

The International Literary Works Prize Contest took place from April 2020 to April 2022 to mark the 110th birth anniversary of the great leader of the Korean people President Kim Il Sung and the 80th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

During the prize contest tens of books and more than one hundred literary works praising the great personality and undying feats of the great leaders of the Korean people, supporting the Korean people’s building of a powerful socialist country and their struggle for national reunification and widely introducing the reality of Korea to the international community were presented to the organizing committee.

Now that the Sixth International Festival in Praise of Great Persons of Mt. Paektu is not held this year owing to Covid-19 in vogue worldwide, the organising committee of the prize contest decided to issue in the form of online the result of its discussion of the books and literary works presented.

Fine books and literary works created in many countries and regions around the world will give a great strength and courage to all the Korean people who are waging a vigorous struggle for the overall development of socialism under the guidance of General Secretary Kim Jong Un and proactively encourage the world progressive people who love justice and truth.

The organizing committee of the prize contest expresses deep thanks to figures of different countries for their deep attention to the prize contest and fine works as well as conviction that a larger number of good books and literary works supporting the righteous cause of Korean people will be written and published worldwide with the feelings of friendship and solidarity with socialist Korea.

The diplomas awarded to the authors of the books and works will be conveyed to them through relevant channels with the epidemic-related situation coming to an end.
