KCNA Commentary Urges U.S. to Be Mindful of Its Own Fate

Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- A saying goes it's like sitting on thorns.

Americans living within the firing range of the DPRK's ICBM have the jitters amid the building up of opinion by world major media that there has been a change from the past when the DPRK was unilaterally exposed to threats in relations between the DPRK and the U.S.

A video posted on the Polish internet magazine Poland on August 15 showed that there has been massive increase in the sale of nuclear air-raid shelter within a few days after Trump made remarks about "fire and fury" and the DPRK responded to it with the statement of strike on Guam. It added that this has created huge tensions, made the people think about security and thus increased their concern for nuclear air-raid shelter.

Those in stock have already run out but the company plans to build thousands more and increase sales to the U.S. and several countries around the world.

An Austrian newspaper said that to cope with threats of missile attack from north Korea the security authorities of Guam posted on internet leaflets dealing with the rules of conduct at time of emergency and demanded that every citizen read it, and that the Hawaii authorities also distributed the said leaflets to their citizens.

A report also said that the DPRK's influence has shown significant increase in the security structure on the Korean peninsula and the DPRK's say has shown increase as much in relations between the DPRK and the U.S., adding this has caused the fall of stock price at stock markets in the U.S. and south Korea, and that citizens on Guam are trembling with fear.

Amid the horror-ridden atmosphere, two radio broadcasting stations on Guam let out the warnings of the state of emergency by mistake, making the citizens feel greater uneasiness.

The chairman of the International Relations Committee of the House of Representatives from the U.S. Republican Party submitted a letter stressing the need to get public be aware of the fact that "millions of Americans are living within the firing range of ICBM of north Korea".

The U.S. which used to make nuclear threat and blackmail against the DPRK, styling itself the "world's only superpower," is suffering from fear and uneasiness.

Clear is its reason. The U.S. is being made to pay a price for its criminal attempt to violate the sovereignty of an independent state.

What matters is that the U.S. is still thinking of "demonstrating its power" to the DPRK even though it seems that it is now fully aware of the DPRK.

The U.S. vice-president during his visit to Chile on August 16 talked about "economic and diplomatic pressure" while pressurizing several countries to "cut off diplomatic relations with north Korea".

Citizens are not having a comfortable sleep but heavyweights of the Trump administration are inviting misfortune, being utterly un-thoughtful of what is uttered by them.

The U.S. had better be mindful of its own destiny, not resorting to the useless anti-DPRK racket for confrontation and pressure while calling for "protection of allies" in different parts of the world. -0-
