The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK) , the Juche
Idea Study Group of England(JISGE), the UK Korean Friendship
Association (UK KFA ) , and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace
and Reunification in Korea (BSCPRKP)issued a joint statement in support of the statement issued by the Korea Asia-Pacific Peace Committee (KAPPC) of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea ;
The US imperialists have become totally hysterical after the successful test-fires of the Hwasong-14 ICBM rocket. The U.S. high-ranking authorities
are letting out such flurry of reckless vituperation as "military
option", "preparation for secret operation" and "regime change". Some US politicians have even called for war against the DPRK . The situation has become very serious indeed.
The Korea Asia-Pacific Peace Committee urges the US to heed the warning made by the Supreme Leader of People's Korea dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN who said hat for the Korean people who
experienced disastrous war on this land due to the U.S. imperialist
brutes, the powerful war deterrence for defending the state is an
inevitable strategic option and it is a precious strategic asset that
can not be bartered for anything.
The DPRK is not going to back down .It is a daydream for the US to expect the DPRK to carry out unilateral nuclear disarmanent. The more sanctions and pressure the US imperalists put on the DPRK , the more they will increase their nuclear deterrence.
If the US wants to guruantee its own safety and security US should belatedly recognise the reality that the DPRK is now a nuclear power and an ICBM power. The US faces a choice of either peace with the DPRK or eventual nuclear destruction .
We call for an end to US war threats against People's Korea and for the reversal of the US hostile policy towards the DPRK.
