Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), sent a congratulatory message to Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic of Cuba, on Saturday.
In the message, Kim Jong Un extended warm congratulations to Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez and the friendly Cuban party, government and people on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of victory of the Cuban revolution.
He noted that over the past 60-odd years after the victory in the Cuban revolution, the fraternal Cuban people have resolutely defended and developed the socialist system, the gains of the revolution, united firmly around the Communist Party of Cuba.
Expressing his sincere pleasure over the fact that under the leadership of the first secretary, the Cuban party and people have smashed all sorts of challenges and wicked maneuvers of the hostile forces and reliably carried forward the revolutionary cause pioneered and advanced by the preceding leaders while waging a dynamic struggle to implement the decisions made at the 8th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, he extended his full support and firm solidarity with it.
The message expressed the firm conviction that the precious traditions of friendship and unity between the two parties and two countries would steadily develop in the common struggle to realize the socialist cause.
